The welder comes with a gas gauge. Can it use argon?
Yes, the Lotos MIG 140 welder comes with an argon regulator. It can use argon gas for MIG welding. It also comes with a spool of flux core wire so it can be used without gas as well.

Where can I get the 0.035 inch contact tips for this welder, the Lotos Mig140? I don't see them listed on the Home Depot website. The Lincoln Electric 0.035 inch contact tips looks similar, are they compatible with the Lotos Mig140?
The tips .035 are all universal, many welding stores or online. I personally got mine online by bulk, but Harbor Fright, Tractor Supply and our local welding stores.
Possibly but not all MIG tips have the same thread size.
It appears from the photos, that it comes with a spool of wire. Is this wire flux core, or does it require gas?
Yes it is flux core wire, it works great, I prefer solid wire with gas, clean weld.
Does this use inverter technology or transformer?
From the weight, I'd say that it is a transformer.
is the wire always hot, in another words, if you release the trigger then let the wire touch ground will it spark(try to weld)

Hi, There is a 4T/2T switch on the front panel If you are using 4/T then once you press the trigger once, the wire feeder will run and there will be heat output on the torch until you press the trigger again to stop.
