Questions & Answers
Is the plug-in version and the hardwire version the same product? I received one with a plug, though I want it to be hardwired. Is this something the electrician must do?
Hi Chris - yes, the plug-in and hardwired versions are the same product. It will come out of the box with the cord and plug for quick 'plug and play' set up. In the box, the hardwired kit would be included with the mounting hardware. They would cut the plug off the end of the cord to the desired length and then direct wire this into a junction box. It is recommended that a certified electrician install these to ensure safe and installation.
Is this waterproof?
This item is not suitable for wet locations where it is prone to being splashed or sprayed by water. Water dripping from a towel however is not a concern. If you need something that is rated for wet locations, our Jeeves collection and Cape collection both offer wet rated kit options that make them safe for these applications. The Cape wet rated kit is coming early September; Jeeves wet rated kit is available now.
Has this product been UL certified?
It is ETL Certified and approved for USA & Canada. UL & ETL are both rating/certifying agencies who test and approved products around the world.
Is it hot enough to help warm a small bathroom while warming towel? Do you feel warmth radiating from hit? Would be nice to take the chill out of my very small bathroom while it warmed my towel.
Hi Ryan - while this collection and model is not specifically designed to provide radiant heat to a bathroom, depending on how small the bathroom is, it can provide a noticeable warmth if left on continuously or over night (both of which are safe to do).
Can I hardwire this to a smart switch ? I want my towel warm when I wake up Not after I turn on a switch
Hi Toby - yes, you can connect a smart switch to the towel warmer so you can program it to turn on and off at specific times of the day.
How long does it take to heat a towel?
Hi Terr - it will take 10-15min for the unit to heat up, it will about 15-30 additional minutes to warm a dry towel, depending on the thickness of the towel and ambient temperature in the bathroom.

Which of these two programmable thermostat by Honeywell you recommend for this towel rack: TH 115-A-240-B/U or TH 115-A-120S Thank you
Hello Simo - I would not recommend either of these programmable thermostat options with our towel warmer. The options you have listed are thermostat controls that would be connected to a HVAC system of sorts. This would not work with our towel warmers as they are designed to heat to a specific temperature that is preset at the factory. The type of time you would want is either a programmable timer that allows you to program when it turns on/off, or a countdown timer that has preset time intervals.
