Is this light too small for mounting on the side of a garage door?
It worked fine for a front door light. It should be fine for a garage door light
It is on the small size but it is visible from sidewalk and street. When lit, it is bright enough to see your way. I was only allowed this size by my HOA and based on my ranch townhouse, it is a nice size. (The larger lanterns would have been overwhelming, if you get what I'm saying.) So from street, it is visible. Not 2 small but I have 1 on each side of garage door and 1 on front porch.

Does this Heath Zenith Model #HZ-4170-PB stand up under power-washing my manufactured home? Also, can you use the on and off switch as well as the motion sensor?
I took mine apart and sprayed the metal parts with clear Rustolium and reassembled and mounted. After two years on west facing wall they still look like new and function perfectly. They can be turned on and off at night or set to go on by the sensor for a set amount of time.

Can the glass housing be removed so as to make the installation easier ( less cumbersome ) .
Yes. Remove 2 thumb nuts on top of glass housing and assy easily separates.

No it is a fixed sensor.

Yes, per page 6 of the instructions linked on this page. It says the sensor for the polished brass version (at least) may be turned to orient its 150-degree coverage leftward, rightward, or centered.
