I suppose you could rig something up but the router is not made to attach a dust collector. I still love the router

Well with this Ryobi router I would think that you can use any plunge base that is on the market that for trim routers; because there is so many out there, you would have to pick the one that will work for your trim router.

Yes it can. I freehanded a couple of doors before I got the Ryobi door hinge jig and the turned out well. The router is very easy to use and surprisingly powerful. The first time I used it for the door hinges I was a bit timid and went slow but got it done without much variation in the outline. The jig does make the job a lot easier and much faster though.

Hi Nulie, I have it on a 2Ah, but i think that is not a problem to use a 1.5Ah, the difference will be the working time on the tool
Both will work. 2Ah might last a little longer.
Either size works essentially the same. The 2Ah will last longer but for most jobs the 1.5Ah is sufficient. If not, simply switch out to another battery.
You can use any of the Ryobi 18v batteries. The more the Ah the longer it will run on a charge

Diameter of the motor? What does that matter for a router? Now if you mean diameter of shank size that is different. It uses 1/4" bits.
I just measure it and without the gray base it's 2.42", and with the base it's 2.76".
