My bathroom is gray checked floors and light gray bath and walls. Accessories are aqua. I need a paint color that has those 2 colors. Sick of always using gray.

Lots of clumps and long gooey stuff from a fresh 5 gallon container. Goopy stuff was all thru it, you can see it as it pours out of the container. What's up with this. Just purchased and mixed about a week ago.

If I'm painting over a red or blue wall do I need to prime it first or will two coats of Pure White cover?

                Answer This Question

Hi James, thank you for your question. Our Behr Marquee Ultra Pure White is self-priming. Since it is not a one coat hide color, the first coat will act as a base coat, followed by an additional coat to cover. However, keep in mind that additional coats may be needed for drastic color changes or porous surfaces. Have a great day! -Alex

Use Kilz to wipe out the color and then paint any color.

Wow Behr you really missed the mark on this. I painted white walls and this is most definitely NOT one coat. I chose Titanium which is supposed to be grey but darkened to a color of blue. At this point I would tell everyone to save your money and choose a different brand, so incredibly disappointed!

Hi Bernie, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the one-coat coverage. Our Marquee Paint should cover in one coat when tinted to one of the one-coat colors and applied over a previously painted surface. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our customer care team is happy to help you! -Angie Behr
Fantastic paint. We were covering an awful mauve room and it worked so well we were shocked.

This is a warm beautiful color. I was painting a heavily textured wall so it did take two coats to cover all the white coking through from underneath. But on the smooth wall it went on in one coat. Behr makes a great paint.

                      Not too thrilled
It came out pink on the first coat. After the second coat it was just a deeper pink not purple ish like it looks online. It seems like they didn’t mix it correctly or something.

                        Good paint but beware
Good sheen once it dries, but the problem is it’s too thick and goes on dry out the can. You have to water it down. Rolling it on, it was literally drying as you apply so would pull it back off and leave a texture. I have to smooth it out with joint compound and repaint not very happy about that. Otherwise it looks great and durable. Do better Behr!

One coat was perfect solid color with no touch ups required. Did the whole villa and plenty of paint left over due to the top quality of the Bher Marquee one coat paint! Highly Recommend

This is the worst paint I’ve ever used. Counter guy recommended the roller nap to buy and how to apply this. Walls were primed the week before and this stuff goes on so thick that when you go over a previous roller spot, it takes the paint completely off the wall. In other areas it looks like it is melting off the wall and there are runs everywhere. If I could leave a negative value I would. This has complete side tracked what I needed to get done and now I need to wait for it to completely dry, sand the garbage runs and repaint. I would not want my worst enemy to use this. 100%complete garbage. Thanks for wasting my time and charging a premium simultaneously.

Hi Xjtlx, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the paint was drying too fast and that in some areas it's dripping/melting. I can understand how disappointing this can be. To help fix this, I would recommend allowing the surface to thoroughly dry for 24 hours and then sanding any textured of affect areas and cleaning with a damp rag. Once clean and dry, you can touch up or recoat as needed. To help prevent any lifting from happening, I can also suggest adding up to 4 oz. of water per gallon to slow down the dry time. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Our customer care team is happy to help you! -Angie Behr
Lovely product, although I did need to use 2 coats despite my walls already having “agreeable gray” on them, which should have worked as a decent neutral primer.
