How to tell when the bit is not usable anymore
            ByApr 12, 2023
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

When the bit snaps, its is not useable anymore. A partially twisted bit will perform similar to a somewhat harder material bit (e.g. a cheaper bit) at that point. It still absorbs some (less) torque and the bit may snap in the shock zone or outside it

Not really, not magnetic enough to hold an 1x3/4 inch construction screw. Which for me is a deal breaker.

I love using Milwaukee tools and parts. I like that the bits are very well made and goes a long way. I thought that after a couple uses with the bits that it was striped but it was the screw that was. it assured me after, that the bits were very well made. Used to installing deck boards

Bought it for the concrete screws and they are much more sturdy than the package bits that came with drill. They are a nice addition to my collection of bits.

T 10 Milwaukee Shock Wave Bits
Purchased this product 1" shock Wave bit. Read the questions on warrenty and thought well if one breaks I can get company to replace. Not one but both broke, and I notified Milwaukee and was informed NO WARRANTY! SO if you have to use T 10 bit, best be working with plastic or soft wood. In my opinion it would not matter the brand on this size, they will all break. I went though 4 of them and still did not get that last screw to come out.

Not good after a few screws driven to the deck board :(
Within in the first10 screws driven in to the board, the bit started to show signs of wear and start to slip, not sure I piked a bad batch from the store.

Milwaukee tough, no issue with gripping Torx screws. Tip seems to last and no indication of wear yet.

                      Poor Quality
I drove about 8, 2” t-10 screws before the tip was twisted. Went to grab the other bit in the 2 pack and it’s a t-15 with t-10 printed on it. Disappointed, definitely not worth it.

Tip of the bit started twisting after less than 20 screws. Maybe that is the design, but I was disappointed.

Many many moons ago, there was only Phillips and Slotted for our choices with fasteners. Since the invention of this type of bit, you have more control than ever before in regards to pressure of force on the actual fastener. No more standing on the drill so that the bit does not tear out the head of the fastener. The actual length of these drivers, I find works well with most jobs at hand. For extra reach, I always keep an extender at hand. The coating on the bit itself, keeps rust and corrosion at bay for a long time. I find that if you pay attention when inserting the bit into the driver head, making sure that it bottoms out, creating reduced wear on the tip, therefore prolonging it's useful life.
