Does the tub filler have an anti scald adjustment? My local code requires one.
We do not. an external pressure balance valve will need to be installed.
Can the tub handle the weight of two people?
The tub can hold 80 gallons of water, which is the equivalent on 667 pounds.

We are installing this tub this week but worry about the slippery acrylic. Can we use a soft woven PVC tub mat on the bottom without scratching or marring the finish? It has no suction cups.
