The BEHR Premium Solid Color Waterproofing Stain and Sealer is an advanced 100% acrylic formula that delivers all-weather protection from the elements for up to 10-years on decks and 25-years on fences and siding. The product is self-priming and delivers excellent protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. This stain will hide imperfections while allowing the wood texture to show through. This product is also great for composite decks.

I just purchased a backyard discovery crosswind gazebo. It came from the factory with Behr solid stain 5013. I would like to add another coat as we live in the northern Alabama. Do I need to do any prep work prior to stain before assembly?

Can this product be used on already water based stain wood siding?

It covers about 200-400 sq. ft. for the first coat and about 400-800 sq. ft. for the second coat per gallon (2nd coat is always lighter than the first). Does this product need primer when used on new cedar for medium light colors
Hi Bruno, thanks for your question. We recommend priming cedar, redwood, and cypress woods with our Multi-Surface Primer before applying this stain. This will prevent the wood from bleeding and discoloring the light stain color. Have a great day! -Christina
