How does it hold up to being washed?
Hi JoAnne, Thank you for your question and interest in our Ultimate faux navy suede sofa protector. This is a great way to protect your furniture. This style has an all over 4" square quilt stitch with D-Ring closure. It's generously sized with an extra-long front, back, and sides for more coverage. The Ulitmate collection has a brushed soft hand of faux suede. It can be used with either t-cushion or box cushion furniture. This item is designed to be machine washable. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Wash dark colors separately. Do not bleach. Line dry. Do not iron. I hope this information helps in your decision to purchase this item. Thank you!
How long does it hang on the back of the sofa? The reverse of my sofa is in view so I would like it to be long.
The length of the back section of the Ultimate Faux Suede from the seat seam in the front to the back bottom is 54".
Does this work with reclining sofa's
Hi and thanks for your question. The Ultimate protectors do not work with reclining sofas because since the protector is very long and almost touches the floor it will interfere with the mechanisms -the handle-used to recline the furniture. It also has d rings on the side to help secure it so it will make it difficult. If you chose other styles such as Hudson or 5 Star or Belmont you will not have this issue and it will work for you as they are not ultimates.
Will this work on recliner sofas?
Hi and thanks for your inquiry. Since the ultimate has generous coverage and practically touches the floor it will no work for a reclining sofa because it will make it difficult to open the recliner. There are also straps so it will just not work. We do offer other styles such as Hudson or 5 Star that will work for reclining sofas.
How should I measure my sofa to determine the proper fit?
Hi and thanks for your question. This a common question! To help you determine what size is best we have developed a sizing guide (it is posted as an alternate image in the listing). Also in the copy we note the following: it is highly recommended to first measure your seat width, then based on that, determine what size best works for you; choose the correct size for your furniture by measuring from the inside of right arm to inside of left arm. If your seat width is around 68 inches then a sofa size will work. If the seat width is around 46 inches then a loveseat size will work. If it is 78 inches than a xl sofa size will work.
I see the straps in front to secure. But are there straps in the rear that hold the back drape in place?
