Hi I purchased 3 144" rods recently and they look great and are of good quality. I was wondering if I can get another one for a customized size of 250" ? I did see another question requesting for 195" and not sure how to make use of two 144" rods.
Dear Pavan. Unfortunately, 144" is our largest size sold at Home Depot. We don't sell larger this sizes in the USA as a manufacturer of ready-made rod sets.
I have a double window and Sliding back door I want to cover. I need a rod 195? long. What can I use to extend this double rod?
Hi Grace, this is a difficult question. This product is designed to reach the max. Width of 144 in. and with 3 brackets properly placed and secured it can hold a max +/- 33 Lbs. total weight limit. However, there is another way you could reach 195” but we can’t recommend it or be responsible for any problems that may occur if you choose to try this. But you could buy 2 Double Rod sets 72-144” and two additional double rod brackets. To explain this concept is hard but it’s like an overlapping effect. The inside ¾” rod can run a curtain on the inside and the outside 1” rod can run a curtain on the outside. So it doesn’t cover the window with both curtains on both inside and outside but by overlapping them it does cover a 195” window space. Is the crystal at the end glass or plastic
Hi Carol, the “crystal” finals on the end of the rods are made out of transparent “acrylic” plastic.
If I purchase two of these double curtain rods... (want both a 72" length and a 96" length for different windows...) do the rods need to be manually cut down to size? What would be the correct way (or tool to use) to do this? Thank you!
Hi Anon, This Double Curtain Rod Set comes with extendable “telescoping” rods and has a Min. Length (Width) size of 72” so no problem. As for the 96” Length (Width) it is also no problem. After the rods are connected you just have to simply slide the telescoping rods and adjust to the 96” Length size you need. No need for cutting anything. Good luck.
How long are the screws that come with this rod?
Hi Lucky, The length of screw used for bracket installation is 1” (to fix on wall) and for the screw used to tighten and secure the rod on the bracket that is 0.87” (in.)
