How do you tighten the neck? I tried to gently pull the cord to see if that would help but it doesn?t. The shade leans to one side.
It sounds like you might be having an issue with the harp or finial that holds the lampshade in place. Gently pulling on the cord won't tighten the neck and could be dangerous. If the shade is leaning, it's possible the finial isn't tightened enough or the harp is bent or misaligned. You can try tightening the finial that attaches the shade to the harp. If that doesn't work, you may need to adjust the harp or replace it. A standard 8.5-inch harp should work as a replacement if needed.
