Yes, Ready Seal can be applied with most sprayers. HVLP, or Airless.
Ready Seal can absorb into any porous surface. If there is concern, you might want to test on an inconspicuous area to see how it affects that paint surface. Masking and taping off those areas would be advised, for caution's sake.
Ready Seal never turns yellow, because it is a penetrating stain, not a coating.
Ready Seal can be used on any clean, dry, wood surface.
The Ready Seal application process is available on our website @ www.readyseal.com It includes our Application Protocol Document, as linked below: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8698/4602/files/READY-SEAL-Initial-Application-Instructions-2026.pdf?v=1772030203
Ready Seal's longevity depends on your wood, it's condition, age, and also the weather conditions, but it typically will last 3-5 years on vertical surfaces, and 1-3 years on horizontal surfaces, before needing a softwash and reapplication.
Non-Slip additives cannot be mixed into Ready Seal, because it is a penetrating Stain, and the additive will not adhere to any surface upon or after application.
Ready Seals coverage rates vary, based on wood species, age and condition, but typically the coverage rate is 125 sq. ft. per gallon for Cedar, 150 sq.ft. per gallon for pine, and 175-200 sq. ft. per gallon for harder woods.
