Thank you for your question. No, this Altura is an indoor only ceiling fan. Model # 68244 is for outdoor covered spaces.
Can 90rpm fan spots cool down a 400 sq ft room
Thank you for your question. Yes 5,189 CFM is plenty of airflow for a 400 sq. ft. room for air circulation and comfort. The fan should provide strong airflow and help the room feel noticeably cooler, especially when occupants are in the room. However, a fan doesn’t lower the actual room temperature like an air conditioner. It mainly creates a wind-chill effect and helps distribute existing cool air more evenly.
What is the fastest I can make this fan turn?

Thank you for your question. The highest speed is the fastest setting and the fan will rotate at a rate of about 90 RPMs.
How do you reverse the fan direction
Thank you for your question. While the fan is on and rotating, press the reverse button on the remote. The fan will slow to a stop and then reverse direction.
Where is the dip switch on the fan
There is no dip switch in the fan, the dip switch is in the remote you turn the power off on the fan turn it back on press the power off button on the remote to sink the fan and the remote

These can be set to any combination of up and down, as long as they are not the same settings of your other Altura fan. Next, return power to fan at the breaker and/or wall switch and wishing 30 seconds, press and hold the power button on the remote control of 5 full seconds. This should reset and pair the fan with the remote. If you need assistance please call the Home Decorators Collection customer service team at 1-800-986-3460 and one of our team members will be able to help resolve the issue. There is no dip switch on the fan itself, only the remote. Thank you for your question. No, a universal will not work. The remote may need to be re-paired with the fan. The process is covered in the installation video located with the alternate images on the product page (fast forward to the 15:00 mark). To re-pair the remote, turn the power to the fan off at the breaker or wall switch. Then, turn the power back on and within 30 seconds, press the power button on the remote for 5 full seconds. If this does not resolve the issue, please call Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460 and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
