We love this fan, except for one problem. The fan randomly comes on--sometimes at high speed, other times low speed. This may not happen for several days but then happens again. We have tried removing the batteries but it still happens.
Hello Joyce, we're sorry to hear of the issue you're encountering with the Maverick 60 Fan. We recommend setting your fan remote to Learning Mode to see if this helps solve the issue. Choose “Learning Mode” by placing the dip (code) switch at LOWER position. Make “Learn function setting” at the position within 5 meter distance from the fan. Restore power source to your fan, press and hold the “SET” button for about 4 seconds until buzzer inside receiver sounds. Your remote controller is ready to operate the fan. You must press the “SET” button within 1 minute of restoring power to the fan. Note: If the power is on already, you must turn the power off for at least 5 seconds, then turn the power back, and wait for 5 seconds at least for remote control learn function setting. If the fan is running after turn power back, still wait for at least 5 seconds and then press and hold the “SET” button for about 4 seconds until buzzer inside receiver sounds. I have multiple Generation Lighting Maverick fans and remotes. How can I separate which remote controls which fans. They all seem to control many.
Hello Jean, depending on the remote, it may have different functionality for pairing with specific fans. We recommend referencing the instruction manual for each. The description says the light kit is adaptable. Does the coverplate to use it without a light come with it? Also, can I purchase an extra lamp for if/when the LED light eventually burns out?
Hi AmyD No there is no cove plate to use the fan without a light. There are replaceable lamps available if/when the LED light stops working.
