how much does a 5 footer weigh? Does the railing remove for transport?
Hi! These are 60 lbs with the two line handrail. You can take the railing off to move it if needed.
There’s an individual in a wheelchair and they would have to go down two stairs that would be about 12 inches in difference under the ADA specifications for every inch a ramp would have to be 1 foot. Is i view ramp8 feet or 12 feet and length
Under ADA guidelines, the recommended slope is 1 foot of ramp for every 1 inch of rise. For a 12-inch rise, that would mean a 12-foot ramp. However, ADA guidelines apply to public spaces and are not required for residential use. Our GATEWAY® 3G ramps are designed for home use, so an 8-foot ramp is acceptable for a 12-inch rise in a residential setting. Important: Always refer to your mobility equipment’s owner guide for safe ramp usage, including slope limits and chair positioning, and never exceed those recommendations.
Does this ramp have legs for support? We plan on the 8 foot ramp going from your 5 x 5 platform to a raised existing wood deck. Do you just attach at either end with no support under the ramp itself?
