I need to clean out the cartridge. Water was off while it got installed and old pipes had some junk slightly clog it. Instructions say ‘pull off’ handle. Afraid to break anything. How exactly should that be done? Does the escutcheon stay in place?

How do you tighten the knobs. I can't seem to find the seam to pop off the cap. Both handles are very loose and without damaging the brass, I need to know how to tighten the knobs. Couldn't find anything on YouTube.

        Answer This Question

Hello CCASS, Thank you for reaching out to American Standard. I’m sorry to hear of the loose handle issue you are having with your American Standard 7052.827. I know that situation can be frustrating. These handles are pushed down into place on the handle adapter. To remove them the handles must be pulled straight up off the faucet. If they are loose you may need a new handle adapter or cartridge. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us using the Contact Us form or Chat option on our website, and an American Standard Consumer Connection Advisor will be happy to assist you. We are available Monday - Friday between 8AM - 7PM ET. Sincerely, Nicole Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team (americanstandard-us.com/contact-us)

                  Very elegant faucet!
I love a good solid sturdy, heavy faucet. This one showcases the quality of the product and has such a great design. When installing this faucet, we had a hiccup with one of the valves, not sealing all over the way. We immediately contacted the manufacturer and they sent replacement parts ASAP. Customer service was fantastic and we are very happy with the product.

                  Love the chrome finish
My husband installed this faucet with no trouble. Same basic installation as all faucets! I feel like shiny chrome is making a comeback. I changed out my black faucet for this one. The pop up drain works as it should. The traditional style looks great. Love that it has metal handles, it should last a long time! I feel like the spout is taller than my other was also. All in all a great faucet!

A Touch of Classic Elegance for the Modern Bathroom
Right out of the box, the Delancey faucet impresses with its substantial weight and solid construction. The cast brass spout and all-metal lever handles feel durable and built to last, a significant step up from the builder-grade fixtures they replaced. We opted for the brushed nickel finish, which has a warm, sophisticated luster that beautifully resists fingerprints and water spots. The classic design, inspired by elegant columns, gives the bathroom a touch of vintage charm without feeling dated.

                  Easy install
I really liked that installation took no special tools like a crazy long Allen wrench. Installation was a snap. I needed a towel, crescent wrench and channel locks. It is so straight forward that the installation instructions are only about a page and a half. The hot faucet has a red stripe and cold is blue, makes it easy to know which one goes where. The three lined click together and don’t leak. The drain on this one is made for a sink with an overflow. If your sink doesn’t have an overflow you need to make sure you have a drain properly selected for that. The fixture is super sharp and super shiny. The aerator is really nice and making the water stretch and still get the job done. I like how they have a coin slot in the aerator to help get it out for cleaning. Mine shipped with the aerator loose a little, with both hot and cold fill blast it leaked, a quick turn with a coin locked it in place. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was how hard it was to get the fixture pieces, faucet and valves locked in place. No matter how much I tried to tighten them in place by hand they were still abler to slip. I needed a wrench to lock them in.

                  Gorgeous and Solid
First off, this ensemble is quality! Heavy duty and made well. I love chrome and this will replace our older faucet. American standard is a solid brand! This faucet has a mid-arc and classy handles. The pop-up drain is also well built but the stopper is large…..2.5 inches in diameter and the sink hole should be at least1.5 inches wide. The cool thing is that you can unscrew the top for cleaning. The flow rate is 1.2 gallons/min.

                  Absolutely beautiful faucet!
This is a very high quality faucet. The brushed gold finish is just gorgeous. Feels extremely solid so very well made. Even the way it was packed at the factory was super impressive. Every piece was placed in a paper sleeve for it's protection. Love the push pop up drain. Installation manual clear and easy to understand. No awkward pop up rod to install for the drain. Unfortunately, I failed to order the right faucet, so never installed. Meant to order brushed nickel.

                  stuck

Its a bit overpriced for what it is
Hecho in Mexico, lots of snap together plastic connections for the mixer. Altogether, much more cheaply built than the Grohe I replaced, will see how long it lasts, up your insurance for water damage. Giving it a "poor" rating based on comparisons with prior AS products I have installed and due to the high price considering on the poor materials used during manufacture. If it were 180 dollars instead of 350 - would give it a fair or average rating.

                      Nice looking, but fail.
We have three sets and all three sets become stuck and cannot turn on. Plumber has been out multiple times to fix each set. Given frequency and with all three sets, he recommended just replacing with better product.
