I am comparing G0568 and G0569, identical bandsaws except G0569 has 7.5hp motor and G0568 has 5.0hp. How can it be that both have the same motor speed at 1720 RPM and the same blade speed at 5300 FPM per manual even with different hp motors?
Thank you for getting in touch with us. The motor's horsepower is unrelated to its speed; instead, the windings within the motor dictate the rotational speed. The G0568 features a single-phase motor, while the G0569 is equipped with a three-phase motor.
What is the maximum weight the table can hold?
We appreciate your inquiry. While we don't have a specific weight specification, the trunnion is designed to support substantial items, typically in the range of 60 to 80 lbs. It's important to note that when dealing with heavier items, providing additional support during the movement in and out of the blade is advisable. This ensures that the full weight is not solely on the table at any given time.
Can this item be operated laying on it's spine? I.e. rotate 90 degrees counter clockwise in the picture. Assume a custom horizontal infeed/outfeed table of course. I'm not looking for the legal answer of NO, rather technical issues one might encounter.
