When I use my Pro600 with the flat beater attachment, the beater catches on the bottom of the bowl. I have tries lowering the bowl as far as possible, to no avail. Now what do I do?

Hi twee, We recommend running the mixer continuously for no more than 8-10 minutes at a time. Allow the unit to rest for 10 minutes.
Although I may have missed it I do not see anywhere that it says if this is a tilt back head so could you please let me know if it is. Thank you in advance for answering this question
Hi Arline, The Professional 600 Series is a bowl lift not a tilt head stand mixer.
No, it does not have a tilt-back head.
No tilt back on this model. Instead, the bowl is raised and lowered using an easy lever on the right side. This unit holds the bowl in place MUCH more securely than the tilt-up models that rely on a screw-in base to hold the mixing bowl, in our experience. On this 6qt unit, the bowl is easier to remove too.

Yes, I've found aftermarket attachments that work well, and Kitchenaid sells them as well. I suggest calling Kitchenaid direct and let them know the model number.
