Can this fan be mounted without using the down rod? Can the upper mounting section be attached directly to the fan?

The lights do not stay on. Using remote they come on for a second and then turnnoff.

Are there other downrods that will work with this fan? I am looking for a 24" downrod a for slanted vaulted ceiling.
Hello Frank, here is the link for a compatible 24" downrod. We recommend the bottom of the fan be a minimum of 7' from the floor to get the best airflow. It is important to note if your slope is greater than 34 degrees, you will also need an angle mount. Is this fan dimable?
Hello Diane, yes, you can use dimmable light bulbs in this fan. We recommend checking the light sockets for the maximum wattage allowed. Why is it when I call Hunter they are telling me the Max bulb wattage is 3.5 , but here it appears Hunter is saying I can go to 14w per socket. The light that came with are really low output (even on the highest output for the dimable bulb) .
That?s one of the issues the sockets are not labeled. I?ve call customer service and they are confused as well. Thanks

Can I send you pictures of the light socket? They are threaded brown unlike most sockets. The fan is hanging from the ceiling now, I?ll have to rent another ladder to get that point. Do the threaded pieces pull off the socket?
