How big of pole do I need to mount it in?
What maximum sustained wind speeds can this sail experience before failure?
why is there still wire loops at each attachment point even after stretching sail taut
Because the sail is not fully stretched. It may take a few days to lay out flat. If the loop is only at one corner you may have to massage the wire back into the sail to get the wire evenly distributed between all the corners. Turnbuckles are recommended.
If the sail is listed as 32' by 32', why do you say each triangular side 20'?
The specifications for this product indicate an actual length and width of 32 ft. Previous answers stating 20' are incorrect. The triangular sides are 32'.
Where are the install and care instructions?
Hi Steve, kindly refer to our use and care manual besides the product bullet points. As for maintenance, a gentle hose down with light detergent does the trick!
How high of wing gust can it withstand when mounted properly
I've had mine up and down repeatedly. I know I've had some good 30+ mph wind gusts and it's been ok. As always, the rope is what'll break at the knots

What are the actual dimensions? Are the short sides on the triangle each 20’?

Will these provide protection from rain?
Hi Theo thanks for asking! Our super ring line is not waterproof though it is water resistant meaning consistent exposure to rain won't compromise the sail's fabric. The majority of rainfall will not get through the sun shade sail especially if installed at an angle.
