                  Not a quality product.
Had the original model with the metal backing plate for a couple of years but with minimal use and it started to not hold the sandpaper. I replaced it with the 49-25-2009 with the deeper screw hole thinking maybe it was improved, NOT! It was even worse. I was not 5 minutes into the first piece of 60 grit and noticed the paper separated at the top. The pictures are taken about 10 minutes after opening the package. Last picture is of the original one.

                    Bad design
I have chosen to review this pad, because I like the oscillating tool itself, but for cutting only. I used the pad to sand the arm rest on two chairs. Maybe about 15 minutes of work. That shirt amount of time completely destroyed the pad, because the adhesive holding the loops on the back of the sanding sheets came loose resulting in the pad making contact with the arm rest. Bad sandpaper and bad pad, what a disappointment Milwaukee!

This sanding pad accessory will fit almost any oscillating tool
This detail sanding pad from Milwaukee is made to fit almost any oscillating tool from any brand. The universal open-lok anchor fits everything except Starlok (there’s even a tiny adapter for the Dremel MM-45 and MM-50. Be careful not to lose it if you have one of those models). The pad (and sanding sheet) is slightly larger than many other pads by about 3/8 inch so it should make your work go more quickly. When I examined the hook and loop side I noticed that the hooks were larger than those on the pad that goes with my tool. That should make the sanding sheet stay on better and also make the pad stay cleaner since dust won’t get caught as easily.

The Milwaukee multi tool sanding pad is a convenient attachment for sanding small and tight spaces. The pad uses hook and loop 3 1/2" sandpaper and holds it well. The pad was useful in small and tight corners, sanding well right up to the wall. The pad also worked well on edges whether round, triangle or octagon. The pad was easy to control on the multi tool and attaching/re-attaching was simple. I would not recommend this pad for large sanding jobs.

This was a perfect fit on my Rockwell SoniCrafter tool. it attaches easily and made my tool more versatile. I am now able to use it as a sander and able to get into tight corners which is something my sander was unable to do. I really like this product and suggest if you have a need, get this and you will be very pleased. I now keep this with me in my tool box so when needed, its there and ready to go.

The Milwaukee 3 1/2 inch Multi-tool sanding pad is a product that is designed to use 3 1/2 inch triangular hook and loop sanding pads. It will fit most brands of multi-tools and it also comes with an adapter that will allow use on Dremel multi-tools. This sanding pad is well made and is stiff enough so that there's very little flex when applying pressure to the corners of the pad when sanding in corners. I used Milwaukee and Bosch hook and loop sandpaper paper and both adhered firmly to the pad. You need to make sure that you get 3 1/2 inch triangular sandpaper. Some brands are smaller and won't fit this pad properly. They would cause damage to the hook and loop attachment area where the sandpaper doesn't cover it. Using a sanding pad like this on a multi-tool is going to be most useful on small areas where only a small amount of sanding is needed. Larger areas would still require a larger sander. All in all this sanding pad is an excellent product for small sanding tasks.

Huge step up from the attachment that comes with the Milwaukee multitool! Normally you need to remove the entire bolt to attach the old one and with this its just like sliding in any other blade attachment from Milwaukee and other top brands. It also gets the sanding head a little bit further away from the multi tool which enables you to get more light on what you're sanding and have your hand closer to the top of the multitool. This sanding head does NOT have dust extraction capabilities like their other head does, but I never used that before because I'm usually not doing a huge amount of material removal with a multitool, I mostly use it for detail work with 220grit paper and there isn't much dust. But if you are in a work environment that requires that then this attachment might not be for you. It fits the Milwaukee sand paper perfectly and I have loved the results so far! Highly recommend if you want an upgrade!

I love using my multi-tool for sanding. With this Milkwaukee Triangle Sanding Pad attachment, sanding is almost effortless. The sand pad is perfectly sized for the triangle sand paper. It's easy to lay the sanding paper on the the pad. The paper doesn't slide and the grip of the pad and sanding paper is phenomenal when compared to the sanding pad I had been using. This sanding pad allows corners to be sanded so much easier than traditional sanding blocks or hand held sand paper. The pad is durable, is a hard plastic type material, looks well-made, and the part that connects to the multi-tool is metal. My only negative about this pad is that I wish it had venting holes that matched up with the sand paper that has holes. The holes allow the vaccuum attachment (that I attach to my multi-tool) to collect the dust. Now my projects will be messier. A one star deduction for this because their own branded sand paper has holes in it so I don't understanding why the pad wouldn't.

Milwaukee, a name I have trusted for electric tools for decades , has a Universal fit oscillating Sanding pad for Multi-tools. Packet states compatible with most trade name multi-tools (DeWalt, Makita, Rockwell, PC, Fein, Bosch, Craftsman, etc). The unit comes with an adapter for use with Dremel MM45 and MM50 tools. This unit does not work with "star lock" designed retaining systems. The unit is 3 1/2" wide. This is a bit wider than the original manufacturer pad for my unit. Therefore, OEM pads do not work with this unit. You must use hook & loop pads of correct size. Also, this model is not designed for dust removal option (lacks slots in h&l pattern or elevated platform for vacuum removal.) Choose correct pad design to avoid damaging h&l material on the pad. The Unit aligns on the 4-point system of my multi-tool with 360 degree turning ability. It locks securely, and offers no wobble on base during use. The h&l material is industrial quality strength. I recommend this as a considered option to add to the list when selecting accessories for your multi-tool.
