For the life of me, I can’t understand how the bar is kept from sliding up and down from the mounting bracket. Time is money and I’ve spent too much time trying to understand how these work. I just wanted a beautiful pull and instead got an unstable item.
Read and follow the directions. Once you complete that important step, it is easy to understand how it works.

The mounting depth of the drawer is too thick for the included screws. What size and width are the screws so that I can buy some .25 inch longer?

how is the bar fixed to the brackets? Is there a set screw?

Same! The pin doesn’t fit in the hole. This is a piece of crap.
What is the length of the bar?
The pull length is 7 inches. You can adjust the center to center screw mounting from 1-3/8 in. up to 6-5/16 in. (35-160 mm).
What are the dimensions of the bases that touch the drawer? Trying to cover a 3/4 circle around the screw hole with out touching up the old paint
Each of the bases are approx .75" x 1"
