Questions & Answers
When the shade is fully opened what is the length of the stacked shade, i.e. how much of the top of the window does it cover for an inside mount?
When fully raised, our Cordless Roman Shade stacks to approximately 12 to 13 inches in height. For an inside mount, this means the top 12 to 13 inches of the window will remain covered by the folded shade.
Can this shade be ceiling mounted?
Yes. The shade includes mounting brackets that support ceiling-mount installation. Please follow the included installation instructions to ensure the brackets are positioned and secured properly. Thank you!
If I want to do an inside mount and it’s measuring 34.5 inches, what size do I order?
Our Roman Shades are true to size and do not include an automatic width deduction. For a 34.5-inch-wide window opening, we recommend ordering the 34-inch width to allow enough clearance for an inside-mount installation. When centered, this will leave approximately 1/4 inch of space on each side.
My prior blinds got very dirty from candle soot. How easy are these to clean?
Hi! Our Roman Shades are best maintained with light, regular cleaning. We recommend using a vacuum with a soft brush attachment for dust and gently blotting small spots with a clean, slightly damp cloth. Candle soot can be more difficult to remove, so we recommend avoiding harsh cleaners, scrubbing, or soaking the fabric, as these may damage the shade.
Can you install it above the frame vs inside it?
Yes. Our Roman Shades include mounting brackets that allow for an outside or wall-mount installation above the window frame. Please follow the included installation instructions for proper bracket placement and secure mounting.
For inside mount can these be mounted to the top of the window frame?
Hello! Yes, our Roman shades can be mounted to the top of the window frame. The included brackets support inside mount, outside mount, and ceiling mount installations. For mounting to the top of the window frame, please follow the outside mount installation instructions provided with the product.
Can the length be cut to fit if the size is newd is not available?
Hi! We do not recommend cutting or altering the Roman shade, as modifications may damage the product and void the warranty. Our Roman shades are available in standard heights, and any extra fabric will fold neatly at the back of the shade when raised. Thank you!
I currently have Roman blinds with outdated fabric and cord system, I am hoping to replace with this product. Am I able to use the previous mounting system for these new blinds? Thank you
Thank you for your question! We’re not able to confirm if your existing mounting system will be compatible with these new Roman shades. However, each of our Belgian Flax Cordless Light Filtering Privacy Roman Shades comes with all the necessary mounting hardware included, so you’ll have everything you need for installation.
