What thickness is the wax ring? My plumber and I have tried 4 times to install but it has leaked every time, what is the secret to installation? In the instructions it says to attach ring to toilet then lower into place. Is that correct?

The wax ring must be placed on the underside of the bowl and then the bowl is lowered down on to your floor flange. Please be sure to check that your floor flange is level with the finished floor.
