The blue velvet looks like a dark grey / charcoal color on my screen. Is this color blue or more grey?
I own this in Navy and bought it when first released. It’s a retro dark navy velvet. NOT GRAY. The pics shown are of the gray bed (originally they offered this in navy, pink, and gray). Both colors are beautiful. Blue is bold but gray goes with everything
Two questions: How difficult is this to assemble? Does it come in several pieces so it fits thru a normal sized bedroom door before assembling? My door is 30” wide.
Would a 10 inch mattress be too high for the top bed? Would it be higher than the arm rests?
From the slats to the top of the armrests is approximately 10.5", so if you used a 10" mattress, you would have about .5" left of space.
Can an 8" mattress be used for the top and then 6" for the bottom
The product information specifies that the trundle (bottom) can accommodate a mattress with a maximum height of 6 inches. While it doesn't specify a maximum height for the top mattress, it mentions the daybed is designed for two twin mattresses with the trundle having a 6-inch maximum. Therefore, an 8-inch mattress for the top and a 6-inch mattress for the bottom *might* work, but the trundle could be difficult to pull out and push back in. You may want to consider using a 6" mattress for both to ensure smooth trundle operation.
How thick can the upper mattress be???
Hello, Only use a mattress which is 74"-75" long and 37 1/2" - 38 1/2" wide and you can use a 6 inch mattress. To optimize the use of a trundle use a standard twin size mattress, no thicker than 6". Thank you

This daybed is designed to fit two twin-size mattresses (sold separately). The trundle can accommodate a mattress with a maximum height of 6 inches. For the top bed, a standard twin mattress is recommended. The distance from the slats to the top of the armrests is about 10.5 inches, so a 10-inch mattress would leave about half an inch of clearance.
I see a lot of people using this as a bed for kids. Will it hold the weight of adults? I'm looking to use in a guest room which may be adults or kids.
This is the best for adults. Online it says it holds 400lbs for the top and 200 for the bottom trundle. It’s a sturdy piece of furniture that withstands anything and is SO COMFORTABLE and cozy. Perfect place to lounge as well.
The weight limit for the daybed is 400 lbs and the trundle is 225 lbs.
