Hello, Dusty - Thank you for your question. Squeeze and release the switch trigger once to activate HIGH mode, twice for LOW mode, and three times to turn OFF. Press and hold for two seconds while ON (in any mode) and the light will shut off. Press and hold for two seconds while OFF allows the light to go into LOW mode. This light is rated at 800 lumens.
