The 48 in. Silver Galvanized Steel Rectangle Raised Bed is a single-tier outdoor planter measuring 48 in. L x 24 in. W x 11-3/4 in. H, holding 7.89 cu. ft. (236 qts.) of soil. The panels are 2 mm thick corrugated galvanized steel, rated weather resistant and rust resistant for outdoor use. The bed weighs 10.2 lb. empty, so it can be positioned before filling. Assembly is required, with steel panels and assembly hardware included, and the bed is covered by a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Suited to a backyard vegetable plot where a 4 ft. by 2 ft. footprint has to fit along a fence line or between existing beds. A gardener planting and weeding can use the 11-3/4 in. walls to keep soil raised above ground level for drainage and reduce bending. Because it needs no power, it can also sit on a patio or deck as a floor planter for herbs and flowers.
