    The entire tool length (handle and pick blade) is 9.75 inches long; the pick blade is 6.15 inches long and the handle is 3.6 inches long.

        Just get it!
        The Ullman Hook and Pick set has so many potential uses everybody should own one. They are approximately ten inches in length. The grips are a textured, hard rubber for sure control. I got this for no particular purpose but I use the set at work so frequently I had to have a set for home. They are invaluable for assembly, disassembly, cleaning or accessing hard to reach places. The only negative is that they are made of untreated steel and one has developed some spots of rust so a coating of rust-preventing oil or grease would be wise between uses.

        Great Size and Variety
        I like the selection of the hooks and picks in this set, and they are a good size for a lot of applications. They're long enough to reach fairly deep into a machine or engine to do something, but the handles are not so big that they'll get in the way too often. I've even found you can unscrew the tools from their handles if you want to have a little extra wiggle room. The tools are all quite sharp, and the steel is of an appropriate hardness to take on most jobs. These are a nice addition to any tool set.

        Heavy Duty
        When I first pulled these out of the carrying case, I immediately noticed how heavy they were. The straight pick weighed 24 grams the rest weighed 26 grams (0.9 oz), which may not sound like much but compared to my old set these are heavy. The shanks are 6" and total length is 9 5/8". These are made in the USA. This set comes with 6 hooks and picks. Everything from straight to a complete hook. Whether it is cleaning crevices or other fine detail in parts or pulling O-rings, there is the right tool for the job in this set. From left to right in the picture below, Hook Pick, Double Angle Pick, 90 degree Pick, Combination Pick, Complex Pick and Straight Pick. The non-slip grip helps with my greasy hands when working on my diesel engine. They are sharp so you will need to keep them in the carrying case when not in use. The only issue I have with this set is that the carrying case could be better.

        Excellent Value, Nice Assortment, Good Handles
        The ULLMAN 9.75 in. Hook and Pick 6-piece Set with Cushion Grips is a nice set of picks that provides multiple solultions for using a pick to remove o-rings, cleaning narrow spaces, and other jobs where you need the use of a pointed tool. The handles are ample and provide a good gripping surface. The handy packaging provides a sturdy envelope to keep them in and reduce the chances of them puncturing near-by items.

        Great set of pics.
        Got these multiple pics to use in my household. I am a hard core do it yourselfer and these pics can be used in multiple occasions. I love the length, about eight and half inches. they have a rubber composite on the handles, which allows you to keep a good grip and pressure on what ever you are working. With the extra length gets into places you normally can not reach. Pics are very sturdy and want bend with you putting extreme pressure on them.

        Great Pick and Hook Set
        This 6-Piece Hook and Pick Set from ULLMAN is a great addition to my tools. I do most all of my own maintenance and repairs of all types of equipment around the house and shop. Many of these jobs require the use of various hooks and picks, so I use an assortment of picks and hooks, all of which are considerably smaller than these. I have even made several of my own picks and hooks out of old screwdrivers, awls, and welding filler rod. These 9.75 in. picks and hooks will be much better for some of the work than the smaller ones. Some of the purchased ones have plastic grips, but they are smooth and slippery, but not cushioned. I have used a liquid plastic dip for some of my tools, but it’s also smooth and slippery and isn’t cushioned. I’ve even used some “good ole” friction tape for some, but it can be sticky and come unwrapped. The non-slip Cushion Grips are a very nice addition, making them easier to handle and hang onto.

        Perfect for everyone. in the shop and in the house
        A very good pick set. The stems are thick enough they won’t bend easily. Thin enough to get in tight spaces. The tips are sharp and have a good variety of shapes. Perfect for scraping or trying to fish a nut in a tight crack. Or down a drain. I like the thin handles. Makes it easier to spin or twist with one hand. On the other hand anyone with large hands may find it harder to manipulate the tip if you need a decent amount of force. The stem has a textured section below the handle for extra grip. The storage pouch is nothing fancy but does have a zip lock on top and double thick plastic at the bottom. Should keep the picks from busting through the bottom for a couple of years. Its wide enough the picks lay flat. The handles are a textured and firm. A thick coating over a metal base. The texture Provides additional grip when wet or greasy. I soaked one handle in brake cleaner for 30 minutes without any change. I wouldn't expect them to degrade that quickly but wanted to see if they got slimy or tacky. it still feels like new. I have rebuilt 4 lawn mowers this month and these would have been very useful getting the gunk out from around the carburetor. better than my current method of a wooden tooth pick or skewer or flat bladed screwdriver.

        Strong, Long, Must Have.
        Quickly prove amazingly versatile. More picks are used- the more they become indispensable. Perfect for DIY. Excellent for removing o-rings and seals, cleaning cracks & tight places in vehicles. Picking debris from bilge pump & recessed electrical contacts for removable boat lights, removing leaking stuck batteries, poking out eyeglass nose pads, and even removing the back of an old pocket watch, and that was just the first few days. Pick tips various designs are extremely versatile. Shafts are thin and super strong. Handles slight texture, easy to grip for precise control, clean well, too. Within weeks Ullmans 8 picks proved amazingly handy, durable and quickly became part of the everyday tool bag. Very satisfied and highly recommend despite the bit pricey cost, they quickly prove to be valuable durable tools.

        really beefy pick set
        My Review for ULLMAN 9.75 in. Hook and Pick Set with Cushion Grip (8-Piece). This is a very sturdy pick set. They are long and the handles have a nice feel to them. The kit has pretty much every shape you might need. Near the handle the rods have some grip built into the metal so you can spin the tool with your fingers if you need too. The case is kind of a joke, but the tools are not.

        Some tools you don't need every day, but when you do need them, it's nice to have them on hand. These picks and hooks fit that purpose, whether I'm trying to remove a stuck or recessed o-ring, or gasket, or retrieving a nut that dropped into a tight space. They have a cushioned grip that is a high density material that can withstand a lot of force, and they have a case for storage so I know where they are when I need them.
