    Does this work on roller
    ByMar 30, 2024

    Answer This Question

Thank you for your inquiry! This shade features a cordless lift system and operates as a Roman shade, meaning it folds up in sections rather than rolling up like a traditional roller shade.

Will the 36 inch width size fit an inside window mount that measures 35.5 inches?
      ByMar 7, 2024
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

Hi Ashlyn. Unfortunately, this 36in width shade will not fit inside the 35.5in window as this item would be a half inch wider than what you're in need of. On the other hand the brackets give an option to mount the shade outside of the window if you'd like to go that route.

Is this a retractable mechanism like a roller shade or one that pushes up?

        Answer This Question

This shade operates with a cordless lift system. It is a Roman shade, so it retracts by folding up in sections rather than rolling up like a roller shade.

Hi Kathy, we do not offer that service. The product is very easy to install, there is a barcode on the box that provides step by step instructions.

                it's ok
overall, I'm pleased with the shade. it has tiny holes along the seams so if you are looking for total blackout you may want to look elsewhere. Also, mounting hardware is visible after installation if hung on the wall.

                  These look expensive and custom!
Exactly what I was looking for. They fit my windows inside mount even though the depth of the sill is pretty shallow. They look fantastic, but easily half the price of any custom shade or the higher end pre fab options. The only downside is how they look on the other side, which you see on the outside of your house. I plan to find a way to cover that somehow. Still worth the great price. They really block out light and they’re easy to use and install!

Overall very satisfied. Shade were fairly easy to hang and look nice. Only negative is fabric is not quite as nice as I would have liked. It's a little rough to the touch and feels a bit papery. For us they are in a room that's only used occasionally. I would not recommend them for a room where you entertain, have lots of guests, etc.

Blackout quality is very good, everything else is average
It's interesting that various styles are all on the exact same listing. I ordered based on the colors I needed and ended up with 2 different styles, one set somehow were an inch shorter than the other in width. I'm not sure how that happened, but I must've done it because that also appears on my order confirmation. So far, after a couple of weeks, these are still wrinkled and don't look anywhere as smooth as the photos. I don't think these can be ironed, as the blind behind the fabric appears to be some type of vinyl. Although I mounted them inside the window frames, flush to the actual window, they hang further out from the window than I like. Also, since they are not custom, there is a decent amount of light on either side of the blinds, especially on the set that is an inch smaller. I remedied this by flanking each window with blackout panels and that totally did the trick, fixing both the issue of the shorter blinds as well as somewhat pushing them further back into the window frame. For the most part, these are the most effective blackout blinds I've ever used, although, as another mentioned, you can see light through the stitching, but it's not bad at all. When I get up late on the weekends, my room is as dark as it is at night, other than the stitching. I'm not sure if they use cheap screws or if I just got a bad set. The last bracket I was trying to hang on the 4th and final blind was AWFUL. I mounted the other 7 brackets with no problems. This screw would only go in partially and then totally stripped. I worked and worked and got it out and tried over a half inch with a new screw from the same package. Keep in mind all the other brackets, including the other in that frame, went in fine and all the blinds I took down to replace with these were also inside mounted. The second screw started slowing down, so I decided to use a screwdriver to keep it from stripping and the head actually broke completely off. I tried everything to get that screw out and the last resort was a set of channel locks. I got it locked on there and was trying to twist it out when the screw snapped off AGAIN! There was no way I was getting it out at that point, but it broke off low enough that I could still hang the blind and I put that last bracket closer to where the original was and also used one of the screws I removed from the old blinds because it looked brand new, even after removing it. That did the trick. Otherwise, it took around 10-15 minutes per blind, solo. It would've been nice to have a second pair of hands, though. The instructions make it sound like tilting the blind will just make it snap into place on the bracket, but you have to physically push in the piece on the bracket to get it to snap in. Most of the time, just your thumb nail is enough, but a couple were stubborn and I had to try to get the blind to "hang" on the bracket on its own long enough to reach over with my other hand and push in that piece with one hand while tilting the actual blind up and into the bracket with the other and hope it didn't jostle enough when clicking to cause the other half to fall down before I could hold it up again. Also, the blind behind the cloth is just average quality. It's the type of blind you pull down and hope it stays because otherwise it will pop back up, almost as if it's spring loaded. My grandparents had cheap roller blinds just like that and eventually they either wouldn't stay down or wouldn't roll back up. Also, the fact you cannot iron them is frustrating as I have no idea if the wrinkles will ever "fall out".

                      Feels cheap
I will be returning this shade. The shade does not roll up easily. The piece of plastic you use to roll the shade up or down is flimsy and sharp. It feels very cheap.
