What size mattress do you need to get for trundle
Hello Lynne, thank you for reaching out. The trundle takes a standard Twin XL-sized mattress (80" L X 38" W) with a maximum mattress thickness of 6".
Will the trundle take a regular twin mattress?
Hello Bonnie, thanks for reaching out with your question. The trundle is sized for Twin XL (80" X 38"), which is 5 inches longer than a twin (75" X 38"). A Twin mattress would fit in the trundle but would leave a vertical gap of 5 inches. The most important measurement for the trundle mattress is thickness, which needs to be 8 inches or less to ensure smooth under-bed sliding while sheets are on.
Can the trundle go on either sides of the bed? or do you have one where the trundle comes out on the right?
