What's the width/diameter of the post? Spec says 2.3" but it looks like maybe the ball on top is that wide. The post itself looks much narrower.

Could this post be drilled to affix a lightweight 8" x 12" sign???
We cannot guarantee with certainty since this really depends on the weight of the sign, but as long as the post is properly driven into the ground, with the "wings" underneath soil level, it should work.
Do they sell just the spike part anywhere?
