      No, they don’t fit over the 4” vinyl post… they are the exact same dimensions as the post, so this cap won’t slip over or into the post. No way to attach.

                Thank you for your question. No, these lights are designed to fit on standard 4x4 or 6x6 wood posts. The bottom opening measures 3.6" which will fit a standard wood 4x4 posts that measures 3.5" x 3.5".

                  Nice looking but stopped working
                  In 10/24, I purchased two of these LEDs. I installed them on my trash enclosure posts in11/24. They provide adequate lighting for a 6 x 4 foot enclosure. Within a month, one of the lights stopped working. In 1/25, I had to buy another one to match the existing. The product looks great. style is similar to the wood post caps. Installation is easy, requiring only two screws. This installation method held up well even in strong wind conditions we encountered.

                    Excellent light for stair posts
                    I purchased this Veranda Solar 4x4 and 6x6 Matte White Plastic LED Deck Post Cap Light to match some that I already had on my deck. The batteries charge well during the day and the lights last all night. The kit comes with the adapter and fasteners to fit 2 sizes of post. 4” or 6”. They are very durable and look amazing . On a dark. Igor they offer enough light so you can see your way. Great for posts along stairs.

                    Better use than the black model, but slightly less light time
                    Got this for a piling on my dock. It has more light (12 LEDs) than another similar model in black (has 4 LEDs). The charge of the 1000 mAh battery is good after about 5 hours in the bright Florida sun in March. It lasted almost until dawn but was dimming down in the last few hours at a good amount of light in the beginning. Because it is white there is much more light reflected out at night and it stays much cooler in direct sunlight. Personally I would get this white one instead of the black one from the same manufacturer.

                    Bright night light!
                    After I obtained this solar veranda light, I found out it wasn't quite the right size for my fence post, which is 5x5. Instead of returning it, I found an alternative solution. I superglued the light on to the PVC post cap of my privacy fence. It has held up well. As such, I did not need to use the included screws or the 6x6 adapter base. The light lit up the first time, before I had a chance to charge it in direct sunlight. The solar panel even charges in cloudy weather. The light has been up for a week now, and been exposed to freezing temperatures as well as rain, and that has not affected its function. The light is quite bright and definitely enhances my fence and patio in the dark. The light comes with detailed instructions for installation, so you can't go wrong. The battery that charges the solar panel is replaceable.

                    Easy way to add night time ambience and safety
                    The Veranda Solar Plastic Deck Post Cap light is an easy way to add night time security and ambience to fence and gate areas using various size vinyl fence posts. The Solar light kit comes with ability to fit a 4"x4" directly, or use of an adapter for 6"x6". Based on the attractive looks of the solar post cap's and lighting, I would have rated as a 5, but wished the solar charging would allow light to last for more than > 4 hours a night.

                    Nice Fence Accent Lighting
                    This is a really nice accent to the perimeter fencing surrounding my property. The white brilliant color blends in with my existing posts. The LED lights are are on the underside of the cap allowing a nice warm glow to be illuminated during the evening hours. The cap will fit 4" & 6" inch post. Screws are provided to secure the 6" inch adapter and to secure it to the post.

                    Great deck light.
                    The Veranda Solar 4x4 and 6x6 Matte White Plastic LED Deck Post Cap is a great addition to you deck. The Solar Light is pretty simple to install just remove your old post cap put this one in it's place. It comes with screws so you mechanically fasten to the deck post so you don't have to worry about the wind blowing it away or it getting knocked off. The rechargeable batteries are replaceable so you can use this for years to come.

                    Looks nice
                    The light Is very simple to install. It only needs two screws. It comes with an additional base if you need to install it on a 6x6 post. All you have to do it screw it to the post. The solar panel works great. The led lights give it a nice clean look. The lights will automatically turn on once it starts to get dark and turn off once the sun comes up.
