Olympic Wood Protector Solid Wood Stain provides a waterproofing protection with a rich, opaque color that allows the wood texture to show, enhancing the natural beauty of wood. Our formulation of 100% Acrylic resins guarantees Olympic beauty and protection. Recommended for use on exterior wood decks, fences, siding, railings, outdoor furniture and other wood surfaces. Stir thoroughly before and often during use. When using more than one can of the same color, intermix to ensure color uniformity. Apply two coats. When spraying or rolling, always backbrush for best results.

We are restraining our deck. Cleaned and sanded the deck but there is definitely old solid stain on the boards. Will a solid Olympic Extreme cover the old stain and adhere to the wood so it doesn’t peel?
A solid stain should cover old solid stain if everything loose has been removed, is cleaned, and allowed to dry. Two coats are recommended. To talk to a specialist please call 1-800-441-9695.
Is the Avalanche color more greenish or bluish? I am considering putting it on porch tongue and groove ceiling. I don’t prefer it to be green. I parish blue (like sky) would be more appealing to me.

Is this a transparent stain

We offer Semi-Transparent & Solid. Our other Olympic brands like Elite, Maximum & Waterguard all offer transparent options that may fit your project.
