How do you reset the combination lock?
If you are resetting from factory, the factory code is 0000. When you reset the combination code for the first time, dial the factory code 0000 then turn the knob to close, the door will be closed. Push the RESET button from position A to position B, then dial a 4-digit code combination that you want. Push the reset button from position B back to A then the new code is set. If you are resetting from your own original combination code, then you just, push the RESET button from position A to position B, then dial a 4-digit code combination that you want. Push the reset button from position B back to A then the new code is set.
Can this be mounted on a post like a mailbox?
This is designed to be mounted on a wall or flat surface. The post would need to have a flat surface wide enough for the mounting holes on the back.
How far apart are the holes to hang? I have predrilled holes from a different box I’d like to reuse.
