Great question, Jeff. It is possible to connect a fuel monitor to multiple tanks assuming the tanks are properly configured. During installation, the fuel monitor should be installed on the tank that is nearest to the fuel regulator. See this article from our help center for more information: https://support.generac.com/s/article/Fuel-Monitor-FAQ To ensure proper installation, we recommend working with a Generac authorized dealer or licensed plumber.
Hello Frank, setup instructions and a step-by-step video can be found here: https://support.generac.com/s/article/How-Do-I-Install-Activate-and-Add-the-LTE-LP-Fuel-Level-Monitor-to-Mobile-Link
The 4G LTE cellular propane tank monitor is just the monitoring device. The propane tank itself is purchased or leased separately through a propane supplier, and tank cost varies by tank size and your local provider. For exact pricing and tank options, we recommend contacting your propane supplier or The Home Depot for current availability and pricing.
Hello, thanks for reaching out. While this device can work with underground tanks, we recommend mounting it above ground so it can receive a reliable cellular signal. There is no Wi-Fi version available. Subscription pricing varies by billing term and where you sign up. Website pricing is $2.39/month or $23.99/year, and in-app pricing is $3.39/month or $33.99/year. You can find more information here: https://support.generac.com/s/article/What-Are-the-Available-Mobile-Link-Subscription-Plans
Great question, Walt. If the four propane tanks are interconnected, and their fuel is depleted at the same rate, it is recommended that one fuel monitor be installed on the tank that is nearest to the regulator. You do not need to install separate fuel monitors for each tank. Monitoring one tank should provide an accurate representation of the overall propane level for the interconnected tanks. To confirm your tank configuration and whether it fits the description mentioned above, we recommend contacting your fuel supplier.
Thanks for reaching out, Jenn! Our fuel monitors are compatible with R3D remote ready propane tank dials and can be used with horizontal or vertical propane tanks. A minimum propane tank size of 250 gallons is required in most cases. Propane tank dials can typically be replaced with a compatible R3D dial if necessary. You may need to consult your propane company to see if this is something you can change on your own. See here for more information: https://support.generac.com/s/article/Fuel-Monitor-FAQ
Thanks for reaching out! The 4G LTE Propane Tank Monitor requires a Mobile Link connection to enable its functionality and is only compatible with Generac generators.
