is the teak on the seat and back solid, or a veneer?
The teak The seat and back are made from phenolic material, not solid wood or veneer. Phenolic is a high-performance composite made by compressing layers of resin-impregnated material under heat and pressure. It is extremely durable, waterproof, non-porous, and designed to withstand wet environments like showers without warping, cracking, or delaminating. The “teak” refers to the color and woodgrain appearance of the phenolic, not actual teak wood. It is made to replicate the look of teak while providing much better performance in moisture-heavy environments.
