Thank you for your question. Our smart ceiling fan can be controlled by remote control and our carro home app. If you want to control the fan with the wall switch, the wall switch will only be turning on and off the power of the ceiling fan.

CARRO Granby 52 in. Integrated LED Indoor/Outdoor Black DC Motor Smart Ceiling Fan w/Light/Remote/App

In the end I am pretty happy with this ceiling fan/light. Mostly because I have it connected to Alexa so I can control it with my voice. It does come with a remote though if you don't have/want to control it with a smart home device. The remote comes with a holder that you can mount on the wall but I couldn't find any hardware that came with it that would work for that so I had to search through my stash to find what is needed. When taking the fan out of the box I wasn't sure if I was a fan of the gold accents but once installed it isn't that bad. The blades are longer than my old fan but the light is not as bright. It has a white light option as well as a yellow, and then dimming features for each. Even at its brightest it does not light up the room to my standards. It says it has 10 speeds for the fan but I think all I have is 3, which is fine for me. I will have to confirm that. As mentioned I did replace an existing fan. The issue with this is the rough-in hole is about 4-1/4", which is larger than the 4" mount of the fan, so I had to buy a goof ring to get this to work. That is nothing against this fan. Otherwise installation was pretty straight forward I guess. I did this myself mostly standing on my bed. The whole assembly is lighter than I thought it would be but has a chain you can hook it up with to the mount while wiring it. If you are using the App you have to have 2.4Ghz wifi. Once connected you can switch back to 5 Ghz if you have that option. The fan is super quiet except for the sound of the air moving around. I made sure the mount was level before attaching the base and have no wobble or vibration at all. I will say there is about a second delay for each function, so give it a second before you think it didn't register, whether it through the remote or voice. I do wish the light was brighter but otherwise am very happy with it!

I moves the air rapidly, efficiently & it's almost quiet! The only noise I hear is airflow.

First the basics, like it's very easy to install & operate. Great diagrams, wording & info in the instruction manual. The finish is quit nice & it is mad with good quality parts. Now for my review of this item. I got this because my wife wanted a fan with optimal air flow & good lighting but nothing blinding. I chose to test this out as we have had great products from Carro in the past & once again, this fan is a great choice for high air flow in the master bedroom. The slender neck loos nice, is flush & wobble free. The motor housing & the blades are also wobble free. The blades are thick & a little hefty. They also do a fantastic job of moving the air rapidly, efficiently & almost quiet! The only noise i hear is airflow. The motor clicked a few times after installation, but I haven't heard it since. The remote works great it is nice having the reverse switch on the remote, Huge plus! The Lumens are enough to light up our room nicely just like the wife wanted, I like bright lights. LoL. my final thoughts... It's a great fan for any room & it does what it was made to do with precision. Made to last & look good. Easily recommended & 5 stars.

CONSERVATIVE LOOK BUT VERY EFFECTIVE

When I took this fan out of the box, I groaned. I’ve installed several CARRO fans and they’re not too difficult. This one is totally different and I expected it to be a bear. Much to my surprise, this is, by far the easiest fan I’ve ever installed! One piece of advice I offer is to be sure to magnetize your screwdriver to make it even easier to install. While it has a nice, sleek look, it’s not flashy. It has a remote control but it can also be operated through an app that can be downloaded on your phone or voice controlled. With 10 different fan speeds, it really circulates air exceptionally well. The light can be dimmed or have the color changed via the remote or smartphone. This is my fourth CARRO fan and I’m even more pleased with this one!

Fan is very nice. Quiet operation once it’s going (tiny bit of noise when it’s starting). Only complaint is how dim the LED light is. A fact made worse that when it’s first turned on it’s at the dimmest setting.

I got the fan and had someone install it. The light is stable for a couple of minutes then blinks. I tried to call the manufacturer but got voicemail. Had to buy another one to replace it. Soon as I get the new one I will return the one not working. This means I have to pay for another install.
