How can I add color?
You can tint the WoodEpox with a dry powdered pigment.
Can the epoxy be stained
It accepts a stain on the surface but it does not absorb into it like a regular piece of wood.
If I use a plain piece of wood along the edge to use as a form, what should I put on the form wood so the WoodEpox doesn't stick to it?
Maybe a heavy wax paper
You can use some plastic wrap, butchers wax or silicone spray.
I have pint containers of both Varathane and Minwax wood hardener. Could I use that on the cleaned out and dried rotted sections and then apply WoodEpox directly to that?
We do not test our products with competitor products. You can make a small test area to see how they work with our product if you'd like. Our LiquidWood is designed to work with and cure with our WoodEpox.
Similar product PC Woody can be smoothed over with a putty knife covered with rubbing alcohol. Is there an easy way to smooth out this product?
You can use acetone, xylene or alcohol for smoothing the surface.
