The product description states that the fixture works with LED lights. However, when we attempted to use LED bulbs the light constantly flickers on and off. Changed to incandescent bulbs and it works fine. Why wouldn't LED bulbs work?
Are the lumens of both bulbs the same?
My lights don't go off and on. The electrician thought it was maybe too dark under roof eave. But this is Hawaii - bright sun during day. How can I make sensor work?
It sounds like you're having trouble with the dusk-to-dawn feature. A couple of things could be happening. Sometimes the sensor can be obstructed, even in a sunny location. Make sure the sensor has a clear view of the sky and isn't blocked by any foliage, structures, or even the eave itself. The product details mention that you can set the light to manual control. This would bypass the sensor altogether. To do this, you'll need to install a switch (not included) and cover the light sensor on the fixture. The manual should have more specific instructions on how to locate and cover the sensor.

These are dusk to dawn lanterns. Do they use special light bulbs or can any 60 watt bulb be used?
It was our experience that the fixture did not work with LED bulbs. So we had to use incandescent bulbs. I believe the problem is that the electric eye won't work with LED bulbs.
