10-Light 12 ft. Black Outdoor Plug-In Integrated LED Edison String-Light

These LED lights are adorable, they resemble little lanterns. They come nicely packed and they're already assembled, just make sure the bulds are firmly in. The lanterns are 5 inches in height and 2.5 inches wide, there're 1 foot apart. The bulb has a maximum of 0.6. You can connect up to 60 sets. Suitable for uncovered pouches and patios. Consider the climate.

These outdoor light string are nice. They have a lantern type shape. They use a smaller base lightbulb. This light string is made to where you can plug multiple light strings together to create a longer continuous string for a larger area. The plug on one end is a standard two prong male end and a standard two plug female end on the other. The female end comes with a blank off cover for when it’s not in use. The string is made of plastic so there is less chance of cutting yourself on an edge.

These string lights came well packaged. The first thing I noticed when taking out of the box is that the “surround” of each light doesn’t actually have glass or plastic panels like you’d traditionally think of on a porch light, for example. But, that probably allows more light to come through and provides easier access to the bulbs. That’s ok by me. However, the black “frame” around each light is a very lightweight plastic that just doesn’t inspire confidence that they will last a long time in the heat of a SoCal summer without becoming brittle and snapping. Also, the plug is literally inches from the first light, making it difficult to hide, and making an extension cord that blends in to the surroundings a must. Don’t panic when you plug them in for the first time, mine had several lights not light up, but it was simply because they hadn’t been screwed in enough at the factory. Phew. After draping these over a satellite patio, using a zip tie to get just the right balance, and waiting for nightfall, these looked great though. One string provided PLENTY of appropriate light for this 9ft x 9ft patio area and complimented my other landscape lights nicely. I couldn’t wait to show my daughter. I said, “come check out the new ambiance out here.” She eagerly approached the area, smile beaming, and said, “Whoa! It’s like a movie or a beer commercial!” And I guess that candid reaction is all you need to know about these lights. They create a mood. They create drama. They create a lifestyle upgrade. Ahhhh, yeeeah. Welp, gotta go folks, I’m starring in my own beer commercial tonight.

So the good is that these lights are super cute, i love the design...however they are made of cheap plastic, not a nice metal, which was disappointing. And the wire/cord is super thin, not a thick, sturdy, outdoor quality. I live in the Arizona desert, this thin, flimsy plastic will be dead after one summer. Also the lights start 1ft from the plug-in, which is way to close and requires you to run your extension cord up the light post or tree. The cord was only 10ft, not 12ft, so another unexpected disappointment. I love outdoor lights, but these, although cute, are a pass until they make some changes and improvements to them.

These are adorable and just 1 length is not enough to do them justice in a larger space. They were packed with care and came out of the box easy. They are lightweight and don't need any heavy duty hardware to hang them. This is a temporary placement until I can extend them to deck posts. The ends are short for additional connections and you'll definitely need an outdoor extension cord. They really are a lighting option that is subtle.

I installed this light string along my deck railing. They don’t come with any mounting hardware, so I had to purchase clips separately. The lights were shipped in the original box which suffered some damage during shipping, but the lights held up well despite the rough handling. With the mounting clips I used, the light string was very easy to install and took very little time. It would be nice if they came in several varying lengths as the 10’ string is a little short for my application, and connecting 2 strings together would have been too long. Incorporating an integral timer feature would be helpful so they wouldn’t have to be manually plugged in and unplugged for each use. Visually, the light string looks pretty nice, and the cages hang straight and uniform. They also put out plenty of light without being overbearing. The main issue I have with this light string is that the cage material is very flimsy plastic. Considering the fact that these are intended for exterior use, I don’t anticipate that the lightweight, black material will hold up very long.

This black, Mission style lightset is ready to turn on in just minutes. The packaging provides a lot of valuable information. The instructions also offer a lot of information. The lightset provides a lot of light while very stylish. Light bulbs are included. The lightset was packaged with care. There are ten lights that really attractively up our outdoor fireplace. I will consider purchasing additional sets to further enhance our deck.

The Hampton Bay Plug-in String Lights are quality outdoor lights that added a nice touch to our deck. I wrapped the lights around the metal frame of the canopy on my deck. The led lights are housed in a lantern-style fixture made of good quality plastic. The lantern-style fixtures are an open design without plastic or glass panels, which is a plus since clear plastic often yellows and glass can break. The led bulbs have a yellow bar down the middle that makes them appear lit during the day which is cool. The lights have a charming glow when on and make our deck look festive. I did notice that some of the fixtures were not put together correctly - there is a front and a back side with the front side smooth and the back side having holes for screws that keep the fixture together. Some of the fixtures show the smooth side where others show the side with the screws; however, this is really not noticeable unless you are looking for it. I like that the socket on the end has a socket cover to keep moisture out. The cord has short ends on both ends of the cord making it possible to hang additional lights together without a lot of extra cord hanging between them giving a nicer look. The lights stay cool to the touch and look nice even when they are turned off.

Now while these lights are very bright, the quality in the string lights itself is lacking. First of all, tried to hang, only thing to secure in place would require nails and zip ties or else you're just draping it. Secondly, it's cheap plastic, looks like it has side panels, it doesn't, it's open. It did come with the light bulbs, so that's a plus and makes it easily to connect strands, but was something more like you'd find in much cheaper seasonal lights.
