What kind of shade are use for lanais to keep the rain out if they are just screen
Hi! While this particular shade is designed for UV protection and light filtering, it is not water-resistant and is intended for indoor use only. To block rain on a screened lanai, we recommend looking for outdoor-rated roller shades made from waterproof or weather-resistant materials, such as vinyl-coated fabric or PVC. These are specifically designed to handle exposure to moisture, humidity, and direct sun. Home Depot carries several outdoor roller shade options, try searching for “exterior roller shades” to find the right fit.
For an inside casing width of 42-3/8", what product width of shade should I order? Is the 42" product width the fabric width or the total width of the unit? Thanks.

The shade is 74" long. My windows are 39" high (casing to casing). Would these work by leaving the excess length above when the shade is extended to 39"
