1 in. x 5-1/4 in. x 8 ft. Solid Slot Wall Shiplap

I used the 1 in. x 5-1/4 in. x 8 ft. Solid Slot Wall Shiplap for an accent wall, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The boards are solid and sturdy, not flimsy at all, and the shiplap design makes installation pretty straightforward since everything lines up cleanly. Once installed, it gives the wall a sleek, modern look with just enough texture to stand out without feeling overwhelming. I also like that it can be painted or stained to match different styles, so it feels versatile. Overall, it completely elevated the space and gave it that polished, custom feel I was going for.

I’m giving a for out of five stars for one simple fact. The boards were warped. Even after hand selecting over 35 boards. There was still a slight warp. I’m an experienced carpenter so this wasn’t user error…However for the price being under $10 a board, I really can’t complain.

From an installation standpoint, the fluted style requires more precision than standard flat boards. Achieving even spacing and alignment around corners, windows, and fixtures like the tub can be tricky and time-consuming. If not done properly, imperfections can be noticeable. Another thought I had is maintenance—the grooves can collect dust and moisture more easily, especially in a bathroom setting, so I’m going to have to be regular on my cleaning is a must to keep the look fresh. Overall, the design is a win for those who want a modern, elevated farmhouse or transitional aesthetic. It feels thoughtful and stylish, with just a few considerations for upkeep and execution.

These boards are perfect. I opened a few to try it and they click in together nicely. I’m sure I could get the dirt off with a magic eraser, but I recommend painting them even if it is white. They are long enough to go on my accent wall that I don’t have to cut much off and put them up with a nail gun. I haven’t finished yet but the results should be amazing. Very happy with this product and would recommend for people who want the shiplap look with an easy install.

I used these shiplap boards to create an accent wall in a large walk-in closet in my primary bathroom suite. The finished wall provides a coastal New England cottage vibe to the room which I love. Overall, the result is positive although the wall needs additional work before completed which justifies the 4-star rating. Not all of the boards were cut for a perfectly snug fit with the adjacent wall (my fault!), so I will add corner trim or fill the spaces with white caulk for a professional look. The boards are only primed so a light sanding and a coat of paint is required to hide the blemishes in the finish. There are a number of places where the priming is peeling off so these need heavier sanding and wood filler prior to painting (see attached picture). These boards were shipped to my home on a makeshift pallet of 2x4's secured with plastic straps and not wrapped in plastic. The straps were so tight that they damaged several of soft wood boards beyond repair. Installation was simple and fast - used a pneumatic nail gun with 2" nails through the tongue and groove connection between boards. Filled all the holes with wood filler afterwards. One drawback to note is that the boards do not fit together tightly so the joints between boards is very noticeable. This is acceptable for my current application but I would not recommend these for a very visible part of any home. Finally, I suspect that dust will collect in between the 1" raised slots requiring frequent cleaning. Vaccuuming should be sufficient to solve that issue.

I love this slot wall shiplap wood board. It is easy to work with, fits well together to create a no-gap seem that paints well without the need for caulking each joint. The eight foot board length also provides a good setup for small projects. In my case I did a couple of small accent walls in two baths that were less than four feet each to get two pieces out of each board.

I love it!!! It is exactly what I was looking for when I decided to go though with my latest project at my house. it provides me with a unique visual texture and stylish finish when compared to what I had in place previously. The product was packaged perfectly and I had no problem moving it around or opening it. I highly recommend using this product!!

Best option for decorative panels. You can decide the finishing and the best of it, it's real wood. It will last forever and can be repainted.
