About This Product
This Multinautic hot-dip galvanized hinge is used to attach stationary dock structures or small floating docks. Only requires 4 bolts to install. Two of these hinges per connection are required.
Highlights
- Has 7/16 in. x 3/4 in. holes of oblong shape to make the adjustment of dock accessories easier
- For the installation, we recommend 3/8 in. x 2 1/2 in. carriage bolt kit, item 10200 (sold separately) for installation on 2 in. thick lumber (which actual thickness is 1 ½ in.)
- Vertical distance between holes is 3-1/2 in. c/c
- Plate measures 5 in. x 3.5 in. x 1/8 in.
- Includes male and female hinge sections, 3/4 in. Dia. axle pin and an R pin
- Male tab is 3/8 in. thick and female tabs are 1/4 in. thick
- Suggested hardware to combine it to: No.10003 back plate or 10001 and 10002 inside dock corners
- For larger, heavier docks, look for hinge kit 19133 (2x 13303 hinges).

Whats the weight limit for this hinge?
Hello Jlvc, we cannot give a precise weight limit as the capacity a floating dock hinge depends not only on the dock weight but also (and mostly) on the dock system configuration. A 5' x 10' floating dock can be consider as "small" if it's preceded by a semi-floating dock that will assure the transition between land (or a stationary dock) and the floating dock section. Without this layout, all the stress from the water movements and the moored boats pulling on the dock will be handled by the hinges. And the dock will not be as stable as it should be. That said, if you're not sure how to evaluate your dock and want peace of mind, you may choose stronger hinges that will upstand any beating. Again, it has to be well configured and propery anchored to work as intended. You may consider hinge No. 13303 (or the pair No.19133).
