What is the depth with the doors open for the wall cabinets

Hello Juanell, thank you for reaching out. We do not recommend repainting these cabinets. Avondale cabinets feature a durable, factory-cured catalyzed finish designed to resist moisture and stains, making proper paint adhesion very difficult without risking peeling or chipping over time. Additionally, repainting the factory surface voids the manufacturer's finish warranty. If you absolutely must achieve a specific white, you would need to thoroughly degloss and scuff-sand all surfaces, apply a high-adhesion bonding primer, and use a specialized cabinet enamel, but leaving the original factory finish intact is strongly advised for long-term durability.

For anyone who has installed and had these cabinets for any length of time, do you find that they scratch? I have a dog that has a tendency to want to explore what is on the kitchen counter.
Hello Miranda, thank you for reaching out. The factory-painted Fern Green finish is durable for everyday use, but sharp dog claws can scratch or chip the topcoat, exposing the lighter primer beneath.
What is the thickness of the Back, the Side and the Top/Bottom Panels ? Does the total depth of the Cabinet of 12" include the front doors. If not, what is the depth without the doors ?
Hello Connysue, thank you for reaching out. For the Hampton Bay Avondale wall cabinet, the back, side, and top/bottom panels are 1/2 in. plywood (~ 12 mm). The stated 12 in. total depth does not include the front doors. The depth of the doors is 3/4 in. (~19 mm).
