What can I expect to pay to install these
Hi Neal, installation costs can vary depending on your location, existing wiring, and whether a junction box is already in place. For an accurate estimate, we recommend contacting a local licensed electrician. If you're replacing an existing ceiling fixture with compatible wiring already in place, installation is often straightforward.
What amp is required. I have a 10 amp circuit will it be okay?
Hi Lloyd, yes, a standard 10 amp lighting circuit should be more than adequate for this light. The fixture draws far less than the full capacity of a 10 amp circuit, so under normal residential installation conditions it should operate without issue. As always, total load on the circuit should be considered if multiple fixtures or other devices are connected.
Whats the pairing code for it?
Hi Oakman, each light has its own unique pairing code, there isn’t a single code for all units. You’ll find it on the product, in the packaging, or in the app during setup. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at support@lifx.com.
Does it come with its own remote control or is the only way to operate it through your phone and an app?
Hi CBEE, No, this light doesn’t include a remote control. It’s designed to be controlled through the LIFX app or voice assistants like Alexa, Google, or Siri, which is how you access features like color control, dimming, and scheduling. You can still use your existing wall switch to turn it on and off, but smart features are accessed through the app or voice.
How to replace the led light bulb
Hi Ernesto, LIFX lights don’t have replaceable bulbs or LEDs, the whole unit is designed as one piece. If it’s not working, try a quick power cycle or reset. If that doesn’t help, reach out to us @support@lifx.com, and we’ll help you from there.
All of my other smart lights are Wiz brand. Will I be able to control and apply the various Wiz static and dynamic modes to this light since it is Matter enabled? Or are the LIFX modes only available on your app?
Hi there Jesse, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the Wiz app or Wiz commands to control our light. You can however use the LIFX App, or another applicable third party integration (such as Alexa, Siri, Google etc) to control your LIFX lights. Hi there JHoll, thank you for your question. You can have this light provide a color very close to Blacklight, however, unlike Blacklight, this fixture will not emit any UV-A light. Thank you.
