                    Excellent Performance – Highly Recommended!
Iam extremely satisfied with the 5.28 GPM 136,000 BTU Outdoor Portable Propane Tankless Water Heater. This unit exceeded my expectations in every way. The water heats up quickly and provides a consistent, strong flow of hot water without any fluctuations in temperature. Installation was straightforward, and the portability makes it perfect for outdoor use, camping trips, cabins, or even as a backup at home. The build quality feels solid and durable, and it operates efficiently without consuming excessive propane. What impressed me the most is how powerful it is for its size — 136,000 BTU delivers reliable hot water on demand, and 5.28 GPM is more than enough for multiple uses. Overall, this is an excellent product with great performance, reliability, and value. I would absolutely purchase it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable outdoor tankless water heater.

Great performance, could be more portable
I selected the Camplux BW264 2.64 GPM Outdoor Propane Tankless Water Heater to wash my large dogs outdoors, but I also hoped to someday use it for a detached garage shower. However, I found that the manual warns that this model is for portable use only and cannot be permanently mounted or plumbed — yet it provides no explanation why. Oddly, there’s also no way to use it “portably” without building your own stand or mount. The box includes a few small screws and two larger expansion screws (possibly for concrete), which sure sound like permanent mounting hardware. If this heater is truly meant to be portable, it should come with something like a hanging hook or a strap for a tree or post. For reference, the mounting holes on the back are spaced 6.25” x 21.25”, so you’ll need a flat surface at least that big. I ended up tying mine to a hand truck so I can roll it out when needed. The back also has several rough holes that scratched my hand — not what I’d expect on a product advertised as portable. Fortunately, the front of the unit looks excellent and feels well finished. The gas line hookup instructions were another frustration. The manual mentions using the “enclosed wrenches,” but none were included — and you don’t actually need them because this version uses a quick-release gas fitting. After some digging, I found that the instructions are from an older model that was recalled for gas leaks and fire risk. The new quick-connect design seems much safer and easier, but Camplux really needs to update the documentation. A few other nitpicks: - The garden hose adapters don’t swivel, which makes connecting hoses awkward. I added a hose shutoff valve, which helps, but it should’ve been included. - The shower head’s on/off button arrived slightly damaged, and both the head and hose feel cheap — the hose is short and stiff. - The temperature display is nearly unreadable in sunlight. Now the good news: the unit performs great! The water is instantly hot, and the flow and heating are strong and consistent. “Eco mode” was disappointing, producing temps around 79–90°F, but switching to “Full mode” gave a comfortable 90–120°F range. Despite the frustrating documentation and design inconsistencies, I’m impressed by how well it works. For now, I’ll keep using it to wash my dogs, and in the future, I may repurpose it for an outdoor pool or spa shower. The bottom line is that this is if you’re handy and willing to improvise a mounting setup, it’s a solid and capable heater.

                      Awesome Outdoor Shower
I recently got the Camplux Outdoor Heated Shower, and I have to say, I absolutely love it. This portable shower exceeded my expectations in almost every way, making it an easy five-star product for me. First of all, the setup was a breeze. I was able to get everything connected and running in no time. The unit itself is relatively lightweight, which makes it easy to move around or pack up when not in use. Even though it’s light, it doesn’t feel flimsy; it feels well-built and sturdy enough to last through many camping trips and backyard uses. Once the water and propane were hooked up, I was genuinely impressed at how quickly it heated the water. There’s no long wait for warm water, it delivers almost instantly, which makes it perfect for rinsing off after a long day outside or even just enjoying a comfortable shower in the great outdoors. The temperature is simple to adjust using the knobs, and the digital display makes it easy to see exactly how warm the water is running. The included shower head is another standout feature. It has three spray settings, which I wasn’t necessarily expecting on a portable system like this. Whether you want a softer spray, or something more forceful, you can switch between them easily. I also like that it comes with a shower head holder that can be mounted, so you don’t have to hold it if you prefer a more hands-free shower experience. Operating the Camplux couldn’t be simpler. The controls are straightforward, and once you’ve used it once, you really don’t need to look back at the instructions. Everything feels intuitive and designed for convenience. The only small downside I found is that the unit requires two D batteries, which power the ignition. I didn’t realize this ahead of time, and since D batteries aren’t something I normally keep around the house, I had to make a last-minute trip to the store. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but worth noting so others can plan ahead. Overall, the Camplux Outdoor Heated Shower is an excellent product. It’s fast, reliable, easy to use, and makes outdoor living so much more comfortable. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a portable hot water solution.

                      Great option for specific uses
This is a great option for very specific uses. It delivers hot, consistent water and is simple to use. However, it is not very mobile and may be better suited for outdoor shower or glamping applications. It lends itself more for a semi-permanent rather than being packed up for an over night or even a multi-day campout. I've seen some people set this up on a hand truck with the propane strapped to the bottom and that might be an option to make it more mobile. I do have a few complaints. The first is the hose connection does not spin freely so you have to twist the hose to thread it on. This can result in a snarled, tangled hose. The second is the lack of a handle or simple way to move it around. Third is I would like a place for the shower want to mount to the actual unit. Maybe it's better that you keep the water away from it, especially the electronics, but that means you need to mount the want separately with the included hook. And lastly, this unit uses 2 size D batteries. I don't really like having to rely on batteries and while there is a cigarette lighter version, it doesn't look like I can buy that separately and make it work with this model. I would love a rechargeable battery option via USB or USB-C so I don't end up in a lurch. I would also love a 120V plug option so I could just set this up permanently. Overall, this is fun and an absolute luxury to have camping/glamping. I'm still trying to work out the best setup to get the most use, but its quirks have made it a bit of a head scratcher.

                      Impressive little unit
I am impressed with this unit all around. It is light weight and fairly easy to carry around. The connections are simple and can all be done by hand unless you remove the propane hose, which I kept on. The gaskets seemed cheap and thin but they all held water leak free. It is super easy to hang once you put 2 screws in a wall and just as easy to remove. It is impressively powerful. Even with full 70+ psi from a hose going through it at full flow, it was able to keep the water above 90 degrees. It is capable of making very very hot water if you adjust it so you definitely need to be cautious of that with kids or pets. There is no temperature safety as far as I could tell. But, after less than a minute of playing with the settings, it is very easy to use and adjust. The digital temperature display seems to be pretty accurate. I love the instant on/off controlled by water flow. It is very easy to control with the shower head. My only complaint is that there's no good way to put the thing down. It can rest on the back panel but there are sharp edges that scratch most surfaces so be careful. For the right application it is extremely useful.

                      So close to being amazing
Great water heater overall with some annoyances. The ambient temperature here is about 40 degrees and the water coming out of my garden hose is probably around 50. I set the heater to high mode with the water flow all the way down and the water gets up to a scorching 136 degrees Fahrenheit. With the water flow set to high it's only able to heat the water to about 84 degrees. I like the solid construction of the heater and the temperature gauge, but I find the controls confusing sometimes. The "gas" dial does control the flow of gas but it's more like a temperature control. Turn it to the right and it gets hotter and to the left it gets cooler. There's a full and ECO mode switch but it's a bit stiff and clunky and I didn't really notice it doing anything. And then there is a water flow dial but maximum flow is all the way to the left and minimum flow is all the way to the right which isn't very intuitive. There are some things that really need to be improved in my opinion. The first one being attaching a garden hose to this is a huge pain in the you know what. They include an adapter but the rubber o-ring falls out easily as you're trying to attach the hose and the adapter doesn't spin. That means you have to twist the garden hose so it can untwist as you try to thread it on. On a cold day that isn't easy. I found it was actually easier to rotate the entire water heater while holding the hose but even that is difficult. Why didn't they include a quick adapter like they did for the shower handle hose? Honestly, just change that one part and I would give this five stars. If you're permanently mounting this somewhere it probably won't be a big deal to you.

                      Works Well
Nice unit overall; steady and strong water flow when connected to a garden hose for water supply. The shower head is different from the description in the manual. It has no turn-on/off button and no mode selection. The workaround solution is to put the turn-off valve right on the unit where the water inlet is. Once the water starts flowing (after the turn-on/off valve is on) the heater starts automatically and the delay for the hot water is literally a couple of seconds.

The 2.64 GPM 68,000 BTU Outdoor Portable Propane Tankless Water Heater Set by CAMPLUX is a complete outdoor hot water set. The set up was pretty easy. We used this to wash off outside during the summer, and this has been a gamechanger for camping trips. This product provides hot water and the shower head is easy to handle with three separate settings.

Going to be a great improvement to my outdoor sink
I know this is set up to be a portable water heater for like camping and the sort but what I needed was a way to get hot water to my outdoor sink I use for gardening. When I am washing up equipment or myself after being out in the garden, hot water sure helps. Right now I just have it hooked up to the shower head it came with, but I will be adding a splitter and a better shower head so I can run water to the sink and/or the shower head. The shower head was the only disappointing thing about the heater I saw. It was to have a on/off control and three different spray adjustments, it has neither, which means when you turn on the water it runs hot water til you can get to the faucet to turn it off. Not a good situation at all. It was easy to set up and produced hot water almost as soon as you turned it on. There are a couple ways to adjust the temperature and the gas turns off as soon as the water stops flowing thru it. It is a bit heavy and hard to move around, so I would say move of a good long term solution to supply hot water than something like a short camping trip. I attempted to call their customer support and they said I got the shower head that comes with this model even thou their owners manual says differently. So buyer be wear, you might have to buy a separate shower head if you wan those features, as I will do.
