Questions & Answers

Will this staple shoot T 50 staples?
ByOct 5, 2026
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

The M12™ 3/8" Crown Stapler (2447-20) is designed to drive 3/8" flat crown staples with leg lengths from 1/4" to 9/16". If your T50 staples are the standard 3/8" flat crown style and fall within that 1/4"–9/16" leg length range, they match the stapler's specified staple profile.

          Answer This Question

The M12 Crown Stapler cannot shoot picture frame points. You’ll need a dedicated point driver for that application.

I finally got around to using it and the thing can barely drive 1/2" staples into studs, 9/16 are all proud. "+" Is maxed, but turns really hard. Is mine defective?

I should preface this by saying I’m a Milwaukee guy. It is my tool brand of choice and I own MANY M12 and M18 tools. That being said this is another winner. Compact size and SO much better than the slap stapler I was using. Probably a bit pricey for what it is (true to Milwaukee form!) but you get what you pay for. Plus I got this on the deal of the day so I feel good about it.

The Milwaukee stapler is generally powerful enough to drive staples into wood. And it's more precise than the hammer tacker staplers. The adjustment is a little tight though, a lilttle hard to turn and not easy to tell when to stop. The choice of staples also affect the final result. When testing with chisel shaped staples, it's harder to drive into harder wood completely. When testing pointed staples, it's easier. All depends on the resistance due to the point shape.

The Milwaukee M12 12‑Volt Cordless 3/8 in. Crown Stapler is built well and surprisingly powerful. I’ve been using it to reupholster dining room chairs, and it drives staples cleanly and consistently. The compact size makes it easy to handle, and it’s been a huge time‑saver for this project.

This stapler was supper easy to use. It is very efficient and made the work I was doing that much faster. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!

                    M12 Crown Stapler 2447-20
At the moment my stapler is only a paper weight! I bought this last week and as of today I STILL am unable to load staples into the stapler! I needed a leg length of 1/4" for one project. I bought Arrow T50 Staples that say 1/4" 6mm. When these didn't load, I went back to the store and an employee attempted to help me. He believed I needed to use T50 staples that were 3/8" 10mm. But when I read online about the arrow staples, it says the crown size on the T50 are all the same. The size showing on the package is the leg length from shoulder to end of leg. Anyway, we tried the 3/8 10mm staples and still not able to load. They fit fine on the magazine but just after pushing the magazine into the channel, it stops. Today, I decided to buy another identical stapler, just to see if it works. Now I have two identical paper weights! Nothing seems to push it any further. I will load a photo of the stapler and of the magazine loaded. In the photo, the magazine is pushed in as far as it will go. What is the trick with loading this thing?

                      Crafting use only?
Purchased to hang 19g wire mesh - fail. Does not staple flush as advertised. Adjustment knob does nothing. Maybe for crafting it will suit your needs , but performed worse than standard hand powered stapler. Try the 18v or stick to the manual stapler.

Another Great Milwaukee Tool; M12 Crown Stapler
Right out of the box it was perfect. Without adjusting the power adjustment dial it only drove the staples in about 3/4 of the way; perfect for Christmas lights, which would be its first job. Things I love: -Magazine is slotted so I can see how many remaining staples are remaining -The dry fire lock-out is notched so I can center the staple -There is an indicator line where the staple will go -The power is adjustable and the window next to the power adjustment dial shows the current setting

Just stopped working halfway thru 1st run.
Halfway thru 1st row of staples and it’s just quit. No attempts or motor noises when trigger pulled, only lights up the battery status. Will take back and exchange to try another.

spring mechanism to hold staples broke
Waste of money. I used it twice in 3 years and it's broke. The spring mechanism doesn't hold the staple tight so only way to fire staples is upside down. Lastly , it doesn't fire staples that hard into material, typically leaves it above the wood. I cranked it as high is it goes with no luck. I Don't recommend buying this.
