Is this meant to keep ice frozen in the storage bin? For us it is currently melting at a rapid rate and not holding the ice at a freezing temperature... rendering it nearly ineffective.

Doesn't keep it cold so it melts. Bin full of water.

It makes ice well, however it does comes out in sheets. It does not seem to hold the ice at a cold enough temperature inside so it melts. The entire storage bin is mostly water with some ice on top. This has created a mess and a hassle for us. And we can't return it so this disappointment has come at a significant cost.

If there is standing water in the ice bin, please check the drain plug or drain tube underneath the bin. It may not be draining properly. Also, please keep in mind that the ice maker is not a refrigerator and does not have insulation to keep ice frozen for long periods. If you are not using the ice right away, we recommend transferring it to your freezer to keep it from melting.
We understand how frustrating this has been, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment.

Great Ice Maker

This is a machine that you don’t know you need until you have one. The ice maker gives you 2 options for the size of ice cubes you prefer, either small or large bullet ice cubes. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to fill the included ice basket. The machine lets you know the basket is full, so you can empty it and then replace the basket and it will continue to make more ice cubes until the water runs out. You also can refill the water until you get your desired amount of ice. It also comes with a scoop to get the ice out for serving. When you need ice quickly, this is such a convenient small appliance to have in your kitchen.

Compact, quiet and quick ice maker.

This is a small but powerful ice maker. It is very compact and easily fits on my counter, under the cabinets. It is quiet and makes ice quickly (usually 6-8 minutes for a batch). The ice hopper is not that large as it holds a couple of large glasses worth of ice but it makes up for the last of ice storage with the speed in which it makes the ice. The ice tray sits above the water reservoir and one fill of the water reservoir is enough to make one tray worth of ice. The ice maker part is above and there is a clear door to watch the ice being made, which is kind of fun to see. The ice is the bullet type and can come in two sizes (Large and Small). There is a scooper for getting the ice out of the storage tray. The only drawback I noticed is that if you refill the reservoir and there's ice in the tray, it will be sitting in the water. The controls on the top of the machine are easy to read and use. Overall, I'm happy with this machine as it's quiet, quick and compact. It would be a perfect machine for a small kitchen.

Ice Maker

Here is a great story about my cool ice maker I recently bought- it was a replacement because my refrigerator ice machine stopped working. Last year, and being in Texas summers, it all went bad and too expensive to replace, when the ice maker stopped working. Now I have this great unit that churns out ice in several minutes. I enthusiastically recommend this for bbq’s, daily work or whatever. I love this portable freezer for my ice production.

Handy compact icemaker

How many times have you had people over and lacked enough ice? This compact and lightweight icemaker can plug that gap for you. Within six or seven minutes this little gem can start producing ice and will quickly keep producing ice to keep your guests happy. It offers two sizes of cubes, small and large, but the large size is all you will probably need. The cubes are actually cylindrical in shape with a gap in the middle, so more surface area to cool your drinks. Put some ice aside in your freezer before your guests arrive and you'll have peace of mind that you won't run out! A minor point but the drain plug is hidden under the unit and pulls out with a twist, something the instructions aren't clear about. Perch the unit over the sink so it hangs off your countertop and drain away. There are lots of warning stickers on the unit but they pull off easily if you want to improve the looks of it. Besides using the icemaker at home for special occasions, we plan on bringing it along with us when we travel by car so that we can have decent ice when we stay at vacation rentals. Too often we find that the ice at rentals is either nonexistent or woefully inadequate.

Works great for small portions

This portable ice maker does sit nicely on the counter top and take up minimal space. It does require a minimum of 6” clearance around the ice maker for proper ventilation. It made a full basket of ice and as I timed it, it would make each batch in about 8 minutes. The cubes are not huge for the large but should suffice for one to two people. Would be perfect for camping or some small outing.

Countertop ice maker

This is a countertop ice maker, and to me is unique. It is well made, comes complete with all necessary parts and instructions. It is easy to assemble. It works great! You just add water so to say, and the rest is magic. Makes ice cubes fairly quickly. It is like the old fashioned ice cube trays in you old refrigerator. The only drawback that I had was that the ice cubes melt rather quickly. I recommend storing the ice cubes in the freezer until needed.

Perfect size for countertop ice

This ice maker is the perfect size for any kitchen counter and makes the coolest little bullet size ice cubes. We plan on using it for a home bar setup, but this small sleek design would fit almost anywhere and the color would match any decor. Two Tone color Bullet Nuggets Ice Machine

I wanted to share my thoughts on this ice machine. It produces bullet-shaped ice nuggets in under seven minutes. The ice basket is slightly larger than the one I had before, which is great. While the machine does make some noise when it's running, it isn't overly loud, and the sound of the motor is noticeable but not bothersome. The water reservoir is quite large, so I don't have to refill it frequently, yet the unit itself is compact and doesn't take up much counter space. It holds a good amount of ice, and I really like the two-tone black and gray design. I'm excited to enjoy my ice!

Fast ice

This portable ice machine is great for quick ice. Drawback, ice will melt if not use fairly soon. This does not keep the ice frozen, just makes it into a basket. That said, there are buttons on the top of the machine that are easily readable. Start or stop, indicator light for when the ice basket is full, you can make large cubes or small cubes, and a cleaning mode. Fill the front with water, turn on and wait a couple minutes for fresh ice. Great for cocktails or any drink that needs to stay cold. Yum! Such a great little appliance. Takes little space and after use you can put it away. Comes with quick start guide and easy to follow instruction booklet.
