Why wouldn't you use purified water?

FAST ICE! SMALL FOOTPRINT!

Fast ice, small footprint! I’m really impressed with how quickly this unit works. It started dropping ice in less than 10 minutes! It’s small enough to fit under my cabinets without taking up too much counter space. Perfect for daily use or when hosting a small group. We liked that it was easy to clean and there is really no assembly involved to do that. Its perfect ice for drinks! I would easily and highly RECOMMEND to friends and family!

Fast portable icemaker 8 minutes to first ice

At work, I am trying to switching to healthier drinks and water is great as long as I have ice. This portable (still requires 120v outlet) mini icemaker is just what I needed. From plugging in and filling with distilled water, the first ice is made in 8 minutes. After 55 minutes, the bin is full and it goes into stand by mode. The ice is held above the water reservoir and if enough ice melts it makes another batch keeping the bin full. It has a built in cleaning cycle and simple drain plug at the bottom to drain at the end of the day. The ice itself is medium size with a hole in the center. It is solid ice not nougat ice, so it lasts longer but not chewable. I now use this regularly at work.

Compact Ice Maker

I was surprised at how compact the ice machine was. It was delivered in a strong cardboard box with Styrofoam inside to protect the machine. I was annoyed that the box states to handle with care, but I saw that the delivery person dropped the box on my porch and left on its side. Thank goodness that there were no visible damage and the ice maker worked perfectly when I turned it on. More on that in a moment. After unboxing I could see that there was tape placed internally to hold things still during transit. One of the tapings proved to be challenging to take off and I used a pair of pliers to remove it. Frankly, the instructions are very basic, but it is fairly easy to figure out how to start up ice maker. After washing the machine thoroughly, I filled up the basin to the max line with about two cups of water. Just hit the on button to start and in about seven minutes the first set of ice cubes pops into the receiving bin in the front. It took approximately one hour for the bin to be filled and that left about half a cup of water left to make more ice after I dumped the freshly made ice into a bucket. I was impressed with the efficiency of the ice maker. It makes the ice fast enough, but its capacity is more for a smaller to moderate party. Also, its receiving bin is small, so an owner needs to be on top of it to put the new ice in storage and fill its basin with water to make more ice. As stated, this machine is compact so that it will fit nicely in a home that is space challenged.

Absolute must have!

Absolute must have for parties and get togethers. This portable ice maker is small and efficient. Installation is really quick, install the handle and then plug it in. It quickly makes ice in about 6 min. So easy to use! There's also an auto cleaning cycle, which is much needed to keep this machine working and pristine. Such a great addition to my countertop!

Great Little Portable Icemaker

I obtained this icemaker to use at the bar when we have guests or when I am working in my shop. It came well packaged and undamaged and I plugged it up after waiting the recommended 24 hours if it had been upside down. The unit light and portable, works perfectly, and produces nice little bullet shaped cubes very quickly. As the ice melts in the tray, water is returned to the reservoir to be used again, a smart design idea. Emptying the reservoir when you have finished using it is easy, just pull out the little plug (see the picture) on the bottom of the unit. The icemaker came with a little scoop that works as long as the ice hasn’t melted together, not so well if it has. Keep something stronger like an icepick nearby if the ice is going to sit long enough for this to happen. This is my only criticism, and it is minor. We were impressed with the quiet and fast operation and have found it really useful. It is perfect for an auxiliary icemaker for entertainment and is portable enough to take to a park for a gathering. I recommend this icemaker for such uses.

Simple to use and makes ice quickly!

I need a portable countertop ice maker for times when I have family functions or I’m pulling the RV and need an ice maker for the road. This ice maker was well packaged and easy to set up. The instructions are straightforward and simple. The ice maker makes ice cubes quickly, in what seems to be about 8 minutes per cycle, taking about 40 minutes to consume the max water level to fill the basket up with ice. The controls are simple with an on/off button and a notification light that the ice is full and a separate light to reflect the need to add more water. The cubes are cylindrical and hollow in the middle. The ice tray is removable and there is an ice scoop. It is lightweight, well made and possesses a drain plug.

Quiet and Effective

This ice machine does exactly as advertised. I washed it, plugged it in, poured water to fill line, and 6 minutes later there was ice! It took around 30-45 to fill the entire tray. It was quiet throughout the process. It has a mechanical arm that automatically pushes the ice forward into the tray. It even comes with an ice scoop. The ice come out in a cool bite-sized bullet or cup shape. We are very excited to use it for parties. After using it, we simply dumped the water, wiped it out and put it in a cabinet. The small footprint allows it to fit just about anywhere.

Fast, Reliable, and Compact Countertop Bullet Ice Maker

After waiting 24 hours before using it, as instructed by the warning label on top of the ice maker, I’ve been using this ice maker for a few days now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite small appliances at home. I really like how compact and solid it feels, especially with its 26.5-pound build. So fun to watch

I love this countertop ice maker! We have a small kitchen so our refrigerator is small and does not support ice making. This portable ice maker does not use a lot of counter space and is easy to carry with the folding handle. It is so cool watching how the ice is made as the lid is clear plastic. The machine lifts a mini hopper full of water up to 9 aluminum probes that face downwards. These probes freeze the ice quickly in the shape of 9 hollow bullets. The hopper then lowers, and the ice bullets are left dangling from the ceiling of the machine. Suddenly the ice bullets drop and a motorized shovel pushes them forward into the holding basket. There is an auto sensor that shuts the machine off when the ice basket is full. My machine made about 7 batches of ice (63 bullets) before hitting full capacity. Each batch took about 7 minutes so altogether about 50 minutes to fill the basket to Full. This machine is very easy to use and the instructions were good. Cleaning the machine is also easy with the (auto clean) button and there is a rubber plug underneath the machine to drain off the water after cleaning or when not in use for a long time. Fyi the basket that the ice bullets are stored in is not refrigerated so when the machine is done making ice you need to either use the ice quickly or store it in a freezer. Altogether this is a well built, quiet, compact and efficient ice making solution that I highly recommend.
