Easy install and quick setup

This Defiant Fingerprint Lever door lock in Matte black (SKU 1014 824 031) is the perfect solution for a high-use door by multiple people. Quick installation and easy programming setup which can be programmed to accomodate up to 50 fingerprints/user codes. I put it to use on a residential garage door which is the most common entry point for our friends and family – now each can have their own Biometric entry access. I can also program a one-time use code for deliveries. The lock can also be set to auto-lock after a delay of up to 99 seconds. It has an ANSI/BHMA Grade 3 Security rating. While I haven’t yet tested all the features, I can say that I would recommend this lock where a high number of people need access and physical keys are not desired.

Strong sturdy lock

A very well built door lock. It is easy to install and fit perfectly into my previous lock I had in my door. It is very heavy and you can tell it is durable and strong. The features that come with it are very good and I may use some of them. The design is good looking and the black color is very nice. This is a strong well built lock the will last a long time.

Easy to install and great lock for fingerprint and code entry.

This lock came well packaged and it was very easy to install. The lock takes 4 AAA batteries which are not included. You can set up the lock in a multitude of ways. You can use keys, fingerprints, or a code. You can also use a 1 time code to set up for visitors. The codes and fingerprints are very easy to set up. There are a few things I would like to see changed to make this 5 stars. The fingerprint pad is slightly above the handle so it is in an awkard position to put your finger print unless your finger is turned a little. I wish there was a setting to which the door would remain unlocked. It is motorized and it automaticlly locks and there seems to be no button or latch to keep it unlocked. Having said that, this is a great product and it truly looks great with easy installation and easy use. It works well.

This is one of the best keypad lock with level handle! Not a dead bolt it is a latch very important to note most people will get confused! It is very useful very slick design it is smart can be setup with couple of entry codes! It is auto lock and unlock! Defiant is a top brand and a must have any house. They have all the latest technology and top quality items. This lock has all the features you could need. SImple to install only need a screwdriver. Goes on in minutes. You can use either a key program a code or use fingerprints. Never get locked out again. Has an auto lock feature, which is nice. So you never have to remember to lock your door. Looks good. Works good but there's a lot of plastic

It really is a good looking lock. Basic lines, nothing too ornate. The keys light up an extremely bright blue. Inside or out, you'll always be able to see the keys. The installation is quick and simple. There are only 6 Phillips head screws to deal with and no complicated steps. Very straightforward. It does require 4 AA batteries. It seems I'm always frustrated with programming anything. This lock was no exception. It took me a while but i think I was making it harder than it really was. Once it's up and running, it works great. I've only programmed one code for now. Everything is working as described. The majority of the lock that you see is plastic. The only part you'll be moving is the battery cover. I had to play with it for a while to get it to snap into place without breaking it If treated right, it should last a while

Great luck fingerprint mechanism system. Good construction for long-term use. This lock will be used for interior office door. Exterior Questionable

This is a well constructed fingerprint lock system. It has standard directions for a standard straightforward installation. The components and housing seems to be made from a steel like material with a somewhat heavy duty feel. I will be using this lock for an Office secure door interior. I do not think that this lock is suitable for exterior use. The directions for lock setting and fingerprint memory are straightforward.

Defiant lock

Sure enough, you only need a screwdriver to install, if you have holes in your door already. Follow the videos or instructions and not hard to do. Change the default code and remember to write it down the the instructions area. The back plate lines up the two screws for mounting the front lock, that was really nice. Home Depot can change the lock if you have KW1 locks in your home to match the key. Adding finger prints and other codes go quickly as long as you follow the instructions. Remembering your master code is a must ,but there is a way to default to factory settings. You can change the auto timings too.
